Oh, I beg to differ sir............. the subject of fishing is NEVER either a shenanigan or tomfoolery!1,900 of them are tomfoolery and shenanigans
I guess I should look back and update this thread, although there probably isn't anything to update other than fishing.
OEM steel rims are still boxed up in the garage.
I haven't bought any new tires yet.
Roof rack still needs some work done to it.
Rig still pulls to the left a little, I worked on that a while back but I can't seem to fix that issue.
Still don't have a efficient/safe/convenient method of transporting fly rods.
I'm still running without a steering damper.
I should wash it.
On the bright side I drive it most every day and have a chance to stop and fish a few times a week.
All minor issues as long as it gets you back and forth from the streams, rivers, and lakes, LOL.
Whoa... a bit too much tech.
Where's the obligatory "truck by a body of water meant for fishing" pics?!?!
Dang that’s nice looking water. What you fishin’ for? I finally got a few days on the Salmon River here in Idaho between Stanley and Challis (one run below Challis). Good action on the western cutties, especially swinging soft hackles with my custom bamboo trout Spey rod (built by Dave Dozer - bamboopursuits, whom I highly recommend if your in to classic gear) and restored silk flyline. I like a challenge. That’s why I use cruisers around the ranch.
Oh yeah, tech. Well, given these are steel rigs I use a vac-rac (magnetic) for carrying my rod - only ones that are being used. Others are in their tubes hidden out of sight in the rig. (Full disclosure - I used my GMC Sierra plus camper on this trip, too far for the beaters).
