Most excellent ;)

Looks like you are going to add an English Wheel and other metal forming equipment soon.
nice score.
I have found that aircraft bucking bars are excellent dollies for metal shaping. Learned a lot.

Well first customer rig in the elf barn. @Cowboy45 is doing a front disc brake conversion, non ABS 80 series booster, 80 series master, proportioning valve, rear drum full refurb. He is also doing a 2.5” OME left kit and adding a tire/ rim upgrade.

Truck is a 1989 HJ60. Has features of an fj62 in many ways. 2H manual. 4spd. Not sure the origin of it, but it has front drum brakes!!!! Will share some pics of the interior later which are pretty. cool. Not seen one like it.

A “reputable” cruiser shop in DFW did a very bad job. The shop kept this rig for 3 months before even giving the customer an estimate. Said they did a brake job. We opened it up and it was not touched. Pads were worn, etc. charged $3k of work that we could not see as done.

3k for a brake job or was there other work "done"

Zen at the barn.

There is a cruiser god in Oregon from whom Liam bought his SWB. He turned us onto it. He built us a hard top for the SWB and we hit with it to prevent flash rust. Builds a black coat. Works very well.

CD, I picked up a roller 81HJ60 last year a was surprised to find out it had front drum as well. Never knew that was an option. This one originated from Columbia.

An odd duck for sure.

Did he build from scratch? Metal top cap also?

My dad misspoke, the cap on the swb had a tree fall on it a few years ago. Scott built a new drip rail for it and corrected and smoothed out some of the damaged areas. However, he is one of the most talented metal fabricators I have seen. He owns a cruiser restoration shop in Lincoln City Oregon. When we visited, there was another swb in his shop that he built the entire bed assembly for. I wouldn’t put it past him to build a metal top cap from scratch, but at the moment he is pretty swamped with customer builds. Here’s the Link to his website.

Ahh, got it. Thanks!. The metal top cap on my LWB needs work on the front edge from the hood hitting it. So I'm looking for repair options.
