Missed this thread the first go-round, so I'm very happy it was resurrected! Just amazing.

Took a long break from posting last year. Working on doing better with my updates!

Watching the Lake City limo build. Gonna be a great ride.

Upper fenders are in rough shape but after tackling the wheel lips and lower fenders we'll get it done. Have to work with radius and construct a flange for assembly and attachment.

Back to some bodywork. Still have to do the upper front fenders. Before I started the project I was looking for replacement body parts. Fortunately I was able to get many items from Bob. I also purchased these fiberglass replacement upper fenders from SOR.

We tried the fiberglass fenders and didn't like the quality or fit! We've come this far, better off repairing the originals. Looks like have some souvenirs for a wall mount.?

Once again, I never said I was smart. These are in rough shape.

SOR is still doing the fiberglass uppers?

I'm sure you've noticed but sometime previous we did install the large glass including front windshield and cargo windows. Bought a new windshield, would have bet it wouldn't survive shipping but it arrived in one piece! New rubber all around, think I got that from SloCruisers.

When was the chrome trim added around the cardo windows and windshield? My 74 did not have any when I purchased it. Would it be 75+?

Super body work. It appears that chrome trim was always an option:

Holy Moly !!! Can't believe the reflection off that door😳😎. New vehicles ain't that good 😎

Love the sunglasses! Won't need a mirror on any camping trips, can use the doors for shaving.

Learn something new everyday. A credit to the knowledge of the PIG owners. I was looking at some Toyota dealership brochures from multiple years and was trying to figure out why some had the chrome and others didn't. Thanks for the education.

Mounted and fitted the upper and lower fenders. Huge improvement over the former nasty, rusted areas. I saw some discussion regarding should something be placed between the upper and lower fender? seam sealer? At this point we elected to not do anything. Felt there is enough paint coverage for protection. Time will tell.

Really nice work. My pig looks like it has seam sealer between the upper and lower fender; FWIW. Furthermore, I would say most of the seam sealer is painted white with little if any painted the body color. Not sure there is any way to do that other than final coat after seam sealer?
