well that would make you wrong :flipoff2:

I think a 60 is a different kind of cool than an 80. I wouldn't say it is more cooler...

Maybe it will be cooler if it's a 60 front with lexus badge.:worms:

I have to say it does look pretty good although amount of people will actually put down the cash for it will be small.....I think. Personally I agree with a lot of people here that I actually really like the 80's look.

Thank you for your positive comment. I'm sure everyone agrees with all of the mods you have made on your 80 series.

Never had anyone disagree with any of my mods. However if I ever put that on my LC, please kick me in the nuts. You gonna import the Ferrari kits for Pontiac Fieros?

Your getting a vendors star, right?

dang, didn't mean to poop at the parade. to each their own...I would rather buy a 60 than do this to an 80....now, putting 80 series chassis under your fj-choose-your-series on the otherhand...I think the 80 series looks as it should, as does the 60, and the 62...anything beyond the 100 series tho, and I have to check the badge to see WTF it is...

and let I add...why aren't they putting this effort into 60 series replacement panels? Or 80 series replacement panels? I tells ya, this type of consumerism is why people think its OK to just put on more speed stick. before to long, this whole place is gunna smell like an armpit...and look like one too.

... the 60 series' awesomeness ...

Care to point out the awesome part on the '60, I must have missed it! Likely a personal preference thing, but IMHO, the only redeeming quality of the '60 is a spare parts source to keep '40s alive!:hillbilly:

I've noticed Flex dream seems to have two different styles. One like you posted above with the hood lip and lip over the corner light. Are you bringing in kits like that, or like the other style where it follows more of the 80 series lines in a smoother way? Assuming these are even coming from Flexdream, but last I heard they need the vehicle to do the work.

i like this version better.
the straight line makes the front clip look slanted down.

I have put in a request for pricing on the kit which utilizes the stock 80 series hood, I agree about the slanted front end look. I will update this thread when I get an updated price for the kits.

Any update on this? Would be interesting to see these come to the US. This could be a great way to fix up an 80 series after front end damage.

Is there anyone making a kit that's just a wider grill and lights? I know that skips some of the blending of the 60/80 lines that the fiberglass hood & fenders help achieve. BUT, it'd be a lot cheaper.

I guess this puts me in the minority but I actually like the look of the kit installed.

I think it looks really cool. I don't think I'm a customer for the kit but I get the point. My favorite thing about my Cruiser is I put almost all the mods on it that I think look cool to real world use (almost all!). This is not the case with so many customized vehicles. I see very many custom car and truck projects come through my shop that don't make a ton of sense, but to the owners, they are exactly what they have worked for and dreamed of. No way am I gonna down them for their efforts, especially when they are helping pay for my and my employees livelihood. More power to them. A retro 60 series kit is not something a person needs to help get through the trail, but if somebody thinks it looks cool then buy it without shame, it's your overtime pay! I believe you will move 10 kits without too much trouble.

I think my 60 is pretty awesome. Simple, clean boxy lines....they are very attractive in my opinion.

But as far as the 60 fronts on an 80, not my cup of tea....better off just getting a 60 no? 80's are pretty good looking just the way they are, but to each there own if they feel like customizing.

I am working on the wider grill and lights kit quote that will utilize the 80 series hood and possibly the fenders as well. As soon as I have the information I will post again. If you are interested in a kit please PM me, thanks.

This is the only thing I would put that owns a 60 in on or near my 80 :hmm:
