OME with extended shackles (~ 4") on 33 x 9.5s

Just a thought though, with this amount of lift, I can no longer get into standard height garages

Mines got the skyjacker softride 2.5" springs and SOR extended length shackles for another inch or so of lift. Tires are 33x12.50's on 15x8 wheels with 3-3/4" backspacing. But it's a 79 so the tie rods clear fine.

Mustard what is the front bumper made from? I like it I mean for a simple bumper. I like the color of your rig too! Mine stands out like a sore thumb and I can't hide from rebels and others around here ha ha! But one has to pay the government to change vehicle colors.

Rob

Bumper is an old chrome piece of shht with speed holes from the 70's that was on her when acquired from the PO in 85. I think it's a fairly heavy steel coated with the chrome, I've kept it because I have yet to see one like it. Color should be standard mustard yellow but I redid he sill and QP to QP last summer with a PPG match that is actually a shade deeper so this summer will be the rest of the truck to match. Here is a shop of the difference in paint colors, these are almost indistinguishable in daylight but much more obvious in lower light.

Here's mine on 33x12.5x15 with a 4" and SR. It also has a 2" body lift and needs rear springs.

Is this up above Silverton, CO? Looks very familiar!

For another source to your inquiry search "Tall Skinnies" (IH8MUD Forum - Search Results ) It has lots of pics of tall skinny tires but not as much of the tech on lift, etc.

mine fits with 4" lift, 33s and 2 inch longer rear shackles - also a Bestop softtop

my vote is for a 4" lift - springs'll sag soon enough

Sorry man, this is the best "side view" I have here at work. Work done by PO. I believe it is a 4 inch Hells Creek spring. 33X12.50 on a 15X10.

Thanks guys. She looks really good in pictures and from about 20 feet away. :doh:LOL Definitely a work in progress.

I believe you had the twinner rig of mine... if this helps with the blue, heres a pic with 4" hfs lift, and 1 1/2" shackles on 33 12.5s. my last cruiser had about 2.5" of lift on 33's and it rubbed the uncut fenders when doing light duty offroading. I'm very pleased with my setup.
