I found this in my parts collection this afternoon. I don’t know why I bought this but sometimes I just buy stuff. Last week it was cornering the market on 5 speed shifter knobs. This week @Onur is on a mission acquiring odd ball parts for a 100 series and I don’t even own one yet. Anyways, I think we can find a use for this part on this truck.

100 series? Of course, you NEED another build.

You don't need an intervention for buying another cruiser. You need an intervention because it is a 100 series :flipoff2:
Yea so that is part of why I do not currently own one. I have driven a couple and they just did not do it for me. I had some crazy plans for it but I really need to just focus on the tasks at hand.

It's still a cruiser, but it's my least favorite. Felt like a huge step back from the 80...the 200 feels like what the 100 should have been.

Your tasks at hand are much cooler and more exciting, no question.

So we are working on our auxiliary wiring system. Originally we were going to go with a fuse panel back here but we are now running the SwitchPro so no need.

The small grey item to the left is a Deustch fitting for all our grounds.

Cheers

The 105 is a totally different story. SFA and a late 1fz or a diesel? Who wouldn't want that. 100 luxo features with a lot of the good bits from the 80, super cool.
Actually 105's never came in "fully loaded" VX trim. Most that were sold were "standard" (aka poverty pack), and on rare occasions "GX". VX 100-series in those markets had WAY more luxo features. Even a fully loaded 80 was more luxurious than 105 GX.
1HZ was the only diesel powerplant available, and it was paired with the "baby" R151 transmission. Far from perfect powertrain combination for a heavy Land Cruiser.

It doesn’t seem like @jmlockwood is averse to doing a little component swapping to get what he wants.

HZJ105 with barn doors, swap in a 1HD-FTE, H152, and diff locks to start. Go from there.

Ne plus ultra Landcruiser.

o_O Regardless of public desire, I like the 100.

Not to steer away from the topic at hand. @SNLC we need more updates on the 80!

FZJ105 was also available.

Heater hoses all plumbed using OEM non-rear heater HDJ80 parts.
