We can put coolant in this engine anytime now.

Oh ya and engine oil. 😁

The 105 is a totally different story. SFA and a late 1fz or a diesel? Who wouldn't want that. 100 luxo features with a lot of the good bits from the 80, super cool.
The distributor-less 1FZ in the 105 bumps the horsepower from 212 to 240 and it is very noticeable. I have driven the museum's FZJ105 and it is not far behind an early 2U V8. If at all.

Just about there on all our Aux wiring, stereo amp power too. This is all coming off the 2nd battery.

Once that is all done we can get the rear carpet back in the Cruiser and install drawers plus fridge. Around the same time we are pulling headliner and doing the roof in HushMat.

Cheers

Also working on the fuel system. Just got these fittings in for the IP the other day.

We are running duel OEM filters on the fuel system. We have a primary filter too from one of Johns FT’s but it seems that maybe it is even from a 1HZ/PZ. It has fairly small inlets compared to the HDJ78/79 secondary filter we got. So ordered up the HDJ78/79 primary filter this afternoon. We are also going to need to make the main hard fuel line from tank to filter because this old 1FZ line is just to small, we will run a 12mm hardline, same routing and locations though as the 1FZ hard line.

Got the trans crossmember bolts in the other day so also bolted up the crossmember for good.

I’m not sure how much updates you will see this week but a lot of work is being performed. Mainly getting the interior together and finishing @TrekboxX install in the rear. @SNLC is slaving away because @Onur went mad this weekend sourcing parts for a new project. So some space is badly needed in the shop sometime between now and Friday or things are going to get interesting.

Obviously there are a lot of ways and configurations that you can use these drawers with the cutting boards/tables. We are going to do a bit more to it still as far as some power ports and fridge cable management.

Cheers

3rd members and axle housings all sand blasted and ready for fresh paint.

We built this little mounting panel today for mounting the RedArc and component speaker amp under the passenger seat. No holes drilled, it mounts to the old rear heater mounts.

It’s really cool to see that Redarc unit getting installed with the rest of the electronics. @SNLC and I talked for days about the electronics in this truck. Then spent even longer sourcing the stuff and going back and forth with Redarc. Now it’s fun getting to see it go together and it’s even better than we imagined.
