Hello Alberto!!

Im finally getting everithing done to my FJ73 in Colombia, I would like to know the brand and how you did the water temperature indicator, I only seem to find digital indicators online and i really like the analog one you have. Do you still get the reading on the car panel as well? I have a 4.5 L injected engine so I think it used this temperature mesurement for something as well. Im not sure thow.

The gauges I used were ISSPRO and I believe I bought the Enhanced Visibility (EV) ones. I picked the ones with black background and a red needle in trying to match the factory dash look.

I would browse their catalog and find which one you like.

John @Recon1504 bought the 3B + H55 off my BJ70 so I went ahead and pulled the drivetrain.

Also, I know this is not the 80-series or 100-series section, but I ran upon this video that I thought it was pretty cool:

It will be a 1HZ with the H55. Everything takes me forever and a day to do, so progress is slow. I still need to pick up the parts to do the swap. It will be Toyota engine. No Cummins on this one .

Glad you asked!

So, one thing that bothered me ever since I painted the truck, was the two-color engine bay. Jeff (the paint guy) did as best as he could to paint the engine bay the first time with the engine and all accessories in place, but it always bothered me when I opened the hood. Even when this truck is not a show-truck, I wanted to make it look more "factory correct".

Once the 3B-T engine was out, I called Jeff and he came and picked up the 70 and painted the engine bay to match the rest of the body.

You can see the lines where the Tan and the Brown color met before Jeff painted it.

It will be the same one I had, but the H55 input shaft will have to be swapped to the 1HZ style

Just had to go back watch those Angel Falls videos again, man what a great adventure!

While I was looking back though your thread I spent some time checking out the build out of the cargo area. How has that worked out? I think you would have had it for your Moab trip, so wondering how it was to live out of for a few days? I'm working on a similar plan of my own witch so far, involves copying your aluminum panels, and fold down table set up, then looking in to a platform like yours but on a set of slides maybe.
