I can't speak for the Canadian market, if these things are very rare then it's a seller's market, but I would say:

In general the items are showing their years and have not been in garaged vehicles, i.e. they are well used. If you can't test them in a driving vehicle, you could make nasty discoveries inside.

A 4 speed transmission has very little value - people are chucking H55Fs in FJ60s over the border and you should be able to pick up an H42 on MUD pretty easily.

Transfer cases are still available new so are nothing rare. The case shown is a pretty early model and some of those parts are no longer available from Toyota.

The 3B looks in better condition than the transmission or transfer, and it's good that nobody has put a turbo on it. If it has been well looked after it might give many years of service. But it's the old 3B, with some parts being hard to find.

Overall, I think 3k is a lot for unproven equipment.

Good to know about the t-case , i know it is a 34mm but didn't know it was hard to find parts for the early split case

Im still attract by the 3b , will get more info from the PO , if it got good compression, it could be better than my 84 3b with 450k km , the 87 have 5 cam bearing and only 250k km plus new alternator, starter and clutch
I will try1500$ for the engine only ,but no more than 2000$ if the compression is good
