@gonzopancho just read the whole thread and I gotta say it just reaffirms the fact that I'm absolutely going to need a pig at some point.... Great build, the detail is awesome!
If the heat shields aren't enough you could slide some 1/4" heat shield products heat shield armor in between the pipe and the heat shield. We use their 1/2" stuff on our turbo downpipes and it does a wicked job of keeping the heat in.
