Sully73FJ40 said:Not to get off track but does anyone know where I can source the 4 male socket that is for the winch 8274 controller? I bought two today from a trailer shop today but they do not line up nor fit in the solenoid cover hole. If anyone might know a part number or a source for an exact replica of that socket I would really appreciate it as I want to put new ones in on the two 8274s.
The pic below shows the socket I'm referring to in the middle of the solenoid cover.

This is what I did on mine. One pic shows the package it came in with the part number. The other pic shows the new one in the new awlteq cover and the old one next to it for comparison.
Exact match except for company logo on the new one.
The part # for the end that mounts in the cover is 48305. The part # for the remote would be 48325. The part # for a matched set is 48295. The manufacturer is named Hopkins and their parts are widely available. Good luck.
Cope,
This is exactly what I was looking for! I knew someone on here would document that socket. I do have a question for you. Did you have to attach a plug to your controller wire? If I have two good controllers I won't need the part for the controller will I?

Copenhagen1 said:As far as I know, the male end that is on my Warn remote IS the original and yes it works. But I could be wrong about it being original....YMMV. Worse case scenario, you have to order both and replace male and female but the side I replaced looks identical to what was in my original Warn cover. Here are some pics:
