That looked like a Major Payne in da pattuti. No fun undoing PO dumbness.
Well it’s not that bad. Of all I have owned this does seem easier. Maybe because I’ve done it a few times. Debatable I guess.

More pics. Also did a quick shot of rattle can on the arm rest. These tend to get beat so I don’t invest a ton of time on them.
Curious why you didn't at least straighten the center console (to low to be an arm rest)? If I restore the center console in my 73 will weld heavy round tubing on the underside of down both lengths. Issue is Toyota never had the four sight to realize people would use the console as a step to go between the front and back. With the hard top model unable to open the hatch with spare tire carrier closed. Jump seats replaced with a forward facing seat like a ConFer using the console as a step at some point would almost be a certainty.
Reminds me of a Cherokee Chief war paint. I like their tee shirts.
Well done

I just finished mine this past week and hated it compared to everything else I’ve patched, welded or otherwise. Curious to see how yours turns out. I also planned to delete the driver foot bump and forgot. Your pace is steady and looking good!Put the transmission tunnel back in to see how much the floor pan needed to be extended and to scope how much repair the tunnel needs. It shouldn’t be too bad.
