The struts actually pop off really fast so you can still flip the hood up against the windshield if needed. I like them because distributes the weight of the hood much better preventing the hood from bending or causing issues to the paint or whatever. Thank you for the compliments!

They are made by redline tuning specifically for the 40 and there is a thread on here specific to them with a YouTube video from feldskin after he put them on his 40

I didn't think about that. That makes good sense. The later hoods with the drivers side prop sure do twist when they're up.

They sure do, and the prop on my hood doesn't have any great places to put it when it's down. Well worth the money in my opinion.

On another note, bought a 3 jaw puller today. Going to try my luck at getting that brake off the main shaft tomorrow evening

Well I got my good ole made in china motors today... Not sure how they are gonna hold up but at least db electrical isn't hiding it. Stinks of China everywhere

True, and the cost of two is less than one warn motor new.

Got my solenoid covers today from Kevin(AWL_Teq). They are perfect and I'm extremely happy with them. The man does some wonderful work. Between the snorkel and the covers I definitely will be buying more stuff from him. Anyways ordered two but only unwrapped one. Alright wrapping it back up now and storing for later use..

Sorry here's a pic

Also got that pesky brake to finally break loose. I ended up buying a 3 jaw gear puller and it worked like a charm : )

Lol I wish it was my garage. It's actually the shop where I had the cruiser painted. They thought it would be a good idea to get it put back together there so they could fix whatever I messed up plus they still need to put the por on the inside of the fenders and wet sand/buff it out. In the mean time, I guess yea the garage is nice only if it wasn't 30 miles from my house.

You can pick up a lift for your garage off craigslist used for about $500.00 floor lift that is
