Lol is this a sarcastic "nice" ? Are you rocking mud flaps with rainbows?

Alright just finished tearing down Chris's winch. Took about an hour to tear down and clean parts. Going to take the pieces to the machine shop to get some stuff removed from the upper and lower housing and onto the blaster

Just picked up another controller on eBay for the one without one. Also picked up a good clutch assembly for the one that is cracked.

My other cable came in and my weber linkage that kling on ordered for me that makes the stock mechanical linkage work perfect hopefully with the weber carb. I didn't have time today to stop by a machine shop for the winches because I was pretty wrapped up in a biodiversity survey at the headwaters.

Okay so after buying 8 continous duty solenoids from DBelectrical I have decided to go ahead and just purchase two albright solenoid packs. I know I know, nothing like wasting money.... I guess Ill try to sell the dbelectrical solenoids to a mud member or something. Anyways, went and picked up new hardware for when I put the winches together. The winches are currently at the machine shop. I figured the machine shop could get the shaft out of the upper housing much easier than I could. I am also having them tap a drain hole and a fill hole on the winches so I can change the fluid out. I should be picking them up tomorrow if I have time but its doubtful since I am hog hunting tomorrow afternoon

I am hog hunting tomorrow afternoon

Sully just sent me a photo of the feral hog he bagged this afternoon. He brought it down with a single round from his .22. Sully says he'll be back on MUD as soon as possible, but it may take a week to field dress that hawg. BTW, he really looks young without the beard. ;)

How'd you know I shaved my beard off? I'm sitting in tbd blind right now with my 22 ready to go! Why aren't you with me Lee? I'm sure there is a hog out here that's just about the right size for you

Spy photo. Can't you see the pic on your smart phone?

And why are you sitting in a blind instead of in the garage installing your new soft top? Isn't today the day it was supposed to be delivered?

Now you hit the hornets nest with a stick

Too much? Just trying to keep it on tech. ;)

But seriously, there were a bunch of soft tops that were supposed to have been shipped today.

Machine shop is finished with the winch housings. I went ahead and had them tap both upper and lower housings for drain/fill plugs so I can change the oil on them so often. Going to pick them up tomorrow and then head to the blaster. Hope to have them in powder next week when I get back from work but work might be cancelled. Anyways no hogs!

Just got my controller and clutch assembly in from the gent off eBay. Also it my Albright contractors in from summit racing. I watches a video of the contractors and a superwinch the other night where they were both submerged in fish tanks for a couple weeks and then they took the winch out of the tank but left the Albright contractor it was wired up to in the tank and it operated flawlessly. Im going to mount them where 1911 has his mounted so I can still put on the warn solenoid cover. Btw the pieces are now at the blaster. I need to research the needle bearings that sit inside the cluster gears as the machine shop guy destroyed them. He did get the larger caged needle bearing out of all three winches that sits in the lower housing without any damage but I ordered new ones. Just need to find the small needle bearings, anyone have a part number?

The part number is somewhere in my rebuild thread, but I've got some of these ... PM me your address and I'll send you some (need 2 or 4?) -
