Yea I was thinking about that spot as well since there is already a bolt hole there. Thinking of making a T shaped bracket

All it would news is a extra hole drilled or a piece of angle iron from the frame and use the hole to brace it

Yea, I don't know about tying the mud flap bracket into the frame because I think if there is a chance that the mud flap was to go up in the fender the tire might grab ahold of it and twist it... Hmm

That's why I would just drill two more holes in the fender and bolt it there. A side note you have any luck finding a cheap 3.25 or 3.5 whole saw that is not $60 ??? I think I'm going to hand cut mine :-/

What diameter do we need? I'll buy one today if you can let me know the exact diameter.

I'm going to work on my cruiser after my soil conservation exam this morning. I'll look at the fenders and see what it my best option for mounting the flaps. Also let me know if that piece came in/comes in today. I'll stop by and pick it up. Also let me know what size hole saw we need, I'm going to look back over the snorkel thread as I believe a guy posted up his install.

3.25 hole saw, gonna pick one up today and let ms know when you need it!

I'll ck on the carb part I think they said thur or fri .. I'm going to try and do the snorkel and finish the kit tomarrow afternoon. I want to drive it to work on Sat for our big sale. I can hand cut it if needed no worries. Putting the snorkels on looks like and hour job tops .... Plumbing it might take longer on some ;)

I love this forum! Where else can you find another cruiserhead that buys a tool you need and will let you borrow it!

I would love a snorkel, one project at a time though! Keep the pics coming!

@Kling-On what sale are you talking about?

I've never seen anyone put hood struts on a 40. Pretty cool! I think I would miss being able to rest the hood againt the windshield though. Hopefully you won't need to work on the motor for a while after she's back together anyway! She looks great!
