A little warm weather pushed me into getting some 75% tint for the OddBall.

I’m not a big fan of the looks of tinted windows on older Cruisers and this stuff is the ticket.
The OEM windshield is 72% so it’s a match.

100% UV and 46% heat reduction (darkest legal is 66% reduction)

Nice product. Going to take the 60 in for it as well.

He needs to add stripes to the 60

Also needs project patina on there as well, IMHO.

Patina is already drawn from his “40’s of Instagram” poster he sells. His stuff is cool for sure. I have a poster coming of the 4 for the shop for sure

Beautiful work. The 80 isn't "89 and older" though. Or maybe I'm misinterpreting that caption?

I kinda threw a wrench in my “leaf spring” specific page when I bought my 80 but it’s barely an 80, right?

285/75-17 Yokohama G003
I really want to lower my on road RPMs when I’m tooling along at 80 in this oddBall. The cheapest way to do that is to add mo tire.

The 285/75-16 Yokos are a perfect 33” x 11 tire and the 285/75-17’s are just taller but the same with with just a tiny bit more weight.
I love the ride of the truck with the OME stock replacement coils but I’ve been wanting to level out the truck and with the bigger tires I have the excuse. 1” Dobinsons coil

Took the wheels to Powder Keg and had them color matched to my sliders and other items I’ve had that color (steps, pintle)

Finally, the wheels they came on the truck were splits that look almost exactly like these FJ Cruiser rims

I’ve been running around with that original split rim as my spare since I got the truck knowing the 285 would hang so far down in the back it would look silly.

One night I was cruising Wits End looking for Wits End brand stuff to toss some business at Joey and laughed at his 80 spare leveling kit for the 100th time until I caught the “fits 34” tires” and sucked in a breath.

As with my love for this 80, I had to swallow my pride and admit I was wrong and see this kit for what it really is. It’s a spare tire lift kit not a level kit like I thought.

So, 15 minutes later (took longer to read his 4 pages of instructions) I have a big ass tire “level” under the Oddball

And once again I have to look up his dopey Mud name because my Brain can’t ever put the letters right

@NLXTACY 👈 Absolute Wits End FTW

(send me those ABS deletes 😂)

Well how do they fit?

Pretty damn good. No rubbing. Super close at full stuff in the rear but hey, it would not matter if the tires hit in there anyway

Measured all 4 corners after the extra tire size and spacers and I came up 2.5” front and 1.5” rear. Sitting pretty
