UT Cruiser Undercarriage (Another Rust Post, I'm Sorry)
This is a 2006 LC with 200k miles up for sale near me for 20k at a Toyota dealership. PO traded it in for an 09. It was clearly his offroading Rig. Its got 35's on it, nice wheels, a good front bumper, and the exterior is pretty clean minus some pin striping. I know there's going to be different levels of "acceptable" rust for some depending on region, but I wanted to get some second opinions. This has always been a Utah truck since it was bought new. The latest owner pretty clearly cared about it from some of the maintenance logs, but the rust is a bit concerning. I neglected to grab really close ups of the axles, but they weren't as bad as the problem areas I'm linking. Beyond the muffler everything seemed "solid", but what kinda...
I've been dreaming of gradually buying and building out a 100 series since I first saw this beauty sell on bringatrailer. I recently parted ways with my manual 2003 BMW 540i M-Sport, and had previously dreamed of one day owning a 2003 LeMans Blue M5 over Caramel Interior (like this), a car which I probably could've found in a similar price range to one of these, but with the recent addition of a dog, plus the outdoors life I live, frequently fishing camping, and with my Dad's boat I'd like the ability to tow, I've changed my dream car to a Black 06-07 100 Series on tan leather. Anyways enough about BMWs—Wrong forum. I'm looking for something that doesn't have absurdly high mileage, and has zero, to minimal amounts of rust...
Spokane, WA - 2000, UZJ100
For Sale: Price: $8,500 Miles: 242,XXX 2000 LC Selling as we are upgrading to a 200 series (will trade to a 2017+ J200 + Cash) 1 family owned - (it was my grandfathers, then mine) #MallCruiser - Its only been taken on mellow forest service roads. All preventative maintenance completed with a binder full of records at Toyota - timing belts x2 (last belt @ 204K) - oil changes - brakes - new radiator (~6 years ago) - CV boots sealed repacked 1.5 times (had to reboot the drivers after a rock kicked up and broke the boot) The bad - parking lot side swipe on the front bumper (bumper still scared) - drivers side was swiped with paint less dent repair (fixed) - small valve gasket leak - power steering hoses need changed (leaky) NW owned...
1998 Toyota Land Cruiser
For Sale-1998 Toyota Land Cruiser 100 Hi, I am new to this group and planned to be a part of it for a long time but unfortunately I have to sell my 1998 LC due to possible engine failure. It has 248K with many new parts and over 1k invested in fixing all undercarriage rust and re coating 4 months ago. I would like to sell the car as a whole to someone that could use a parts car or has an engine to swap out (if it is found to need one). I just don’t have the money to invest in this car anymore. It would have to be towed to you. Please send offers and if you’re in northern Maine come take a look!
Houston TX - 2005 LX470
Selling our 2005 LX470/Land Cruiser. It has 164,xxx miles. Clean title. No rust. We are the 4th owners, previous two were brother/sister. Just replaced the brake pads and got an alignment a few weeks ago, everything else including TB/WP claims to have been done on time per service guidelines according to previous owner. AHC works great and there are no lights on the dash. Is in need of some TLC though, coming from previous owner(s). The body could use a buff/paint correction. The hood would probably need to be sanded and repainted, the clearcoat is cracked and not in good condition from sitting out in the sun I assume. The infotainment screen is “fading”, everything works as it should it just doesn’t appear as clear. Previous owner...
. 2000 LC, 110k miles. $27.5k
Hello guys, Best wishes for a successful and happy 2018. I'm entertaining the idea of selling my 2000 LC and would like your thoughts of what should be the right asking price. The LC is in extraordinary shape, probably the nicest and cleanest I've seen in all aspects, including interior, exterior and mechanics. Original paint ( Imperial Jade Mica) and Tan upholstery. It only has 75k miles. I'm the third owner, but the 1st and 2nd owner were the same person (the owner moved from states therefore the 2 titles). I bought it from the original owner in 2010. Surface rust is minimal but evidently present as it has seen some snow action. The LC was stock when I purchased it and have made the following mods since then: 1. ARB Front Bull...
Durham, NC: 1999 LC w/ some mods - $9k
Hi y'all. Selling this 99 I bought a couple weeks ago, but am finding myself more and more wanting something older and preferably more red. I'm less in need of lockers/lift etc and feel this thing is hungry for a little more offroad than I might want to give it right now. Looking for $9k from mud. Also would field trades for a 60 or post '93 80, but I do really have my eye on a specific one here in town. I love this car but it doesn't feel quite like the LC for me. 218k miles. Everything works. Heat blows hot and AC blows cold. Brakes have lots of life left in them. Tires are at about 60% tread. It is ready for an overlanding trip and 100k miles without any major maintenance. Buy this truck if you want a sturdy 100 series LC and don’t...

Considering trading 94 FZJ80 for a 100 series, any interest? N.H.
I have not written a complete add for this yet or taken dozens of pics, but wanted to see if there is any appetite for a trade with my 80 series to a 100 series. Located in NH, but the 80 comes from west coast originally so minimal rust. Its sitting on 37s, 4" Dobinsons suspension combined with supreme engineering superflex front arms and metaltech rear arms, Marlin Crawler steering, adjustable track bars, DC front drive shaft, ARB front bumper with Superwinch 10K and 4x4labs rear bumper with Warn 9K winch, baja rack, interior spare tire rack with 37" spare, dual batteries, XM radio w/reverse camera, tuffy center console, fabric seats/interior, rear locker (lockrite). Hi all. New member and long time lurker here. Wasn't sure if this is the right place to post, but I've seen similar threads here. My apologies if this isn't the right place. I'm looking for a 2003+ Land Cruiser for overlanding, offroading, and Home Depot runs. I found a 2004 LX470 about 3 hours away. It only has ~148K miles, interior is in good shape and it looks pretty good cosmetically. The tachometer is broken and the AHC has been deleted, though. And it does have a bit more rust on the undercarriage than I was hoping for (it spent most of its life in Maryland). Does this amount of rust look acceptable? Or should I keep looking? Price is $11.5K. I've definitely seen much worse in the mid-Atlantic, and it's a better than most of...
Central Illinois or Little Rock Arkansas
1999 Toyota Land Cruiser Clean title in hand, V8, 4 wheel drive, 169,000 miles +- (still occasionally driven), white with gray interior, new pioneer display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. I'm the second owner, well taken care of, and rarely driven. Mechanically in perfect shape, new BFG AT KO2s within the last four months, timing belt, water pump, and rack and pinion done when I purchased it in 2016. Just had the muffler replaced. Mississippi car until 2017, so the frame is extremely clean for something you'll find in Illinois. As you know, this thing is a tank, just wanting to find it a great home.

Truck has never been off roaded and has...
GA - 2001 LX 470
I’ma newbie looking for my first 100 series. I went in person to the dealership and everything looks ok to me aside from some rust which shows in the attached pics of the underside; looks like mostly muffler, and no evidence of overspray. No idea what the source of the green paint splatters are. I am hesitant to buy from a used car lot, especially since the price seems a bit too good to be true. But I like what I’ve seen of the vehicle. Can some of the seasoned folks on here weigh in on whether this appears to be legit. https://m.facebook.com/marketplace/item/990416368780392/
Portland, OR 1999 LC100
$22,000 It’s a 1999 ( so came with factory rear locker, that is functional ) Has a pretty extensive Carfax history, and was an Arizona vehicle until about 2017, so there is no rust or corrosion besides a dent in the back above the rear turn signal. Paint could use a refresh though, cuz ya know, its 25 years old. Currently: 161,000 Miles Everything below was done within the last 6 months / 8000 miles , but I will have to look at documents for exact mileage dates. 2 oil changes ( next one due at 164,000 ) New steering rack / pinion ( done at dealer before I took delivery ) Front, center, and rear diff fluid changed ( 30K intervals )as well as transmission and brake flush ( 60K interval). Timing belt(90K interval), water pump, new radiator...
DFW: 1999 LX470 - Rust free and cheap!
1999 Lexus LX470. 296K miles. Rust free truck. Ironman suspension with SPC upper control arms. It has a couple of scuffs and bumps around the edges, but overall it’s in reasonable shape for almost 300K miles. Most of the bumps are on the bumpers – I had planned to upgrade those anyway. (It's dirty in these pictures.) Would make a great overlander/wheeler. Hard to read the timing belt sticker, but it looks like it has about 40K miles on it. Let’s say $8,000. I’m in north DFW (McKinney). Message me for any other info. Thanks.

Santa Clarita, CA- 1999 Toyota Land Cruiser 100 Series
Up for sale is my beloved Toyota LC100. Great for any terrain that get’s thrown at it. Bought this last summer but selling due to changing priorities. Below are the specs: 1999 Toyota Land Cruiser- LC100 in River Rock Green- Clean title -314,XXX miles but sounds and pulls like a brand new engine. This is the legendary 4.7 V8 that has been taken care of and maintained. Recent work done @305k include- New radiator, timing belt, water pump, fan clutch, spark plugs, ignition coils, fuel pump, complete fluid flush (oil, transmission, differential, coolant), alternator, all cooling hoses, shocks, air filter, brake pads and rotors. -AC blows super cold, dual zones -Factory diff lock + high and low gear ranges -No check engine lights or faults...
Figured I’d drop this out there in case anyone knows something that isn’t publicly available yet. I’m looking for an accurately represented 03-05 LC in SoCal or SoCal adjacent (NorCal, AZ, NV). My upper budget is 15-17k, which from what I’m seeing actually sell should be sufficient. What I keep finding though are priced high, low quality trucks or those with deferred maintenance. I don’t mind doing mechanical work if the price reflects as such, so a small project or something in need of a little love is fine as long as it’s not priced as a pristine example. Mileage isn’t a huge concern though under 250k would be ideal. No black unless it’s the deal of a lifetime. That’s probably my only hard line. I don’t care about nav vs no nav...
Iowa, 1999
This vehicle comes with a parts car. You take both cars for this price. Car is rust free, it came from Central valley California. I drive this truck daily. New as follows: Starter Brakes Front wheel bearings Rack and pinion Valve cover gaskets Timing belt, hoses, belts, idlers, thermostat, water pump Plugs and coil packs All fluids have been changed (baselines) Brake booster Front seats Steering wheel Drivers seat belt Heater fan and added carbon cabin filter Everything works slowly but it works. If it doesn't I take parts from the parts truck. I have an extra set of wheels and tires as well. Parts truck has 265k but timing belt kit was just changed on it about 1500 miles ago. Then found rust holes in frame making it unsafe. Truck has...
