After wheeling the other day I noticed my passenger side window would not roll up.
I tested the functionality of the switch and the connection for the window motor was functioning using a multimeter. At the connector for the window motor I was getting 12.5 v with the switch in one direction and in the other direction -12.5v.
Since the switch was working and the motor was getting power, I replaced the window motor.
When testing the new window motor with the window switch on the door I noticed the switch would only power the new window motor in one direction. Weird. I powered the new window motor with leads of the battery and ensure that the motor was capable of operating in both directions; which it was. When I manually reverse the leads of the window motor at the door connector, I can get the window to go in the opposite direction but its still will only go in one direction.
I swapped the EFI relay with the window motor relay (I believe these are the same relays as they have the same part number) and the issue still prevailed.
I've also tried a second window motor and it has the same symptoms.
Note this issue is prevalent using both the switch on the passenger side door and the driver's side door. Also the truck has manual door locks.
I'm pretty stumped right now so any suggestions would be appreciated. As of now my next course of action is to just replace the window motor relay with a brand new one and maybe rig something up to try and measure current being sent to the window motor for further diagnosis.
