Well, sadly my fiancee has decided to sell her car. It's an '01 Audi A6 with the 2.7T Bi-turbo engine w/ 67k miles. This car is in amazing shape. So I am finally deciding that the rust issue on my BJ60 might not be worth dealing with. Instead I have the crazy idea of doing a diesel swap to a much less rusty FJ.
-I don't care if it has any mods ( the less the better as I can build what I want).
-I don't want rust (or as little of it as possible) this includes vehicles that have been worked on. if I wanted to have rust magically pop back in a couple of years I'd do mine.
-If it has a drive train but runs like s*** - as long as it's drivable (and stops) enough to make it up here that's good enough.
-if it does not have an engine then I will be limited by distance

-Don't care what condition the interior is in. If it drives, as long as it has...

For reference, Woodlake is 10 miles east of Visalia, CA. Visalia, CA is 30 miles south of Fresno, CA on Hwy 99.
They all have chevy V-8 engines and most are the throttle body injection. He thinks the engines are bad in the trucks. (The last time he thought this he just had a blown head gasket). One of the 3/4 tons has a big block, I assume 454.

I would like to find a clean one, well maintained, stock is fine, lifted is better.:)
I am partial to the charcoal gray color on the outside, but would look at black, green or white also.
Leather would be nice, but not necessary, my price range is not set in stone, I will pay fair money for the right rig.

Rare unique vehicle. Engine and transmission very good - will run for a long time. Transmission was rebuilt a few years ago. 3B 4 cylinder engine. 350,000 km (~200,000 miles). Interior decent. Body and frame rough - both have lots of rust. Still functions though. Good vehicle to keep as a daily driver or rock crawler. Would eventually need to patch frame in two places. I bought this thinkijng I was ready to sit on it till I am ready to build it. It Runs drives nice. It came with the broken 5 speed in the bed along with another 4 speed and a 20 r head in the bed . There is a 4 speed in it now. Hey all I am looking to get another FJ. Im looking for a 60 or 62. I just moved to Colorado (highlands ranch), so Im looking for any steals/deals in the area. Well I have to sale the LJ20. And I am going to take a loss. I will sale both the 1972 LJ20V Right Hand Drive and the 1972 LJ20 O for 1100usd. I am firm on the price. The LJ20-O has the soft top and door frames with no canvas. You will have to come up with your own canvas top and door skins. It runs and drives and stops. Pretty rust free as most vehicles are that are from this area (Cheyenne WY.). So the LJ20-O is a pretty good buy at 1100 by its self.
