Ah s^*t. Not sure how I missed this. But it’s all good w/ the headers six years down the road and prolly 60k miles. Just keep in mind that I had to modify 105 series headers to fit the 80s frame(which is tighter) so that they’d fit inside the frame rails. Not a single inch of my exhaust is factory. Plan is do all 3” soon cuz the collector is 3” and then I neck down to 2.5” post-cat. Got a long Magnaflow muffler(IIRC) and 3 resonators after it and I get asked if it’s a V8 quite often. Sounds right and I love it. Do finally understand the appeal of a “quiet” factory exhaust, but I suppose that comes with age . . .
Spare 1FZ is getting redone finally too. Head work resulted in new Crower springs and Ti retainers . . .for free. cuz the guy that tore the head down tossed the old ones and he no longer works there. Dude that owns/runs the shop didn’t tell me until I picked the head up and noticed. He apologized but I told him that was silly. 680$ w/ the head decked very slightly and a valve job. He’ll def get all of my work in the future. Way cool gearhead who does it cuz he loves it. His crew was all there when I dropped the head off initially and thought it was a 2JZ head. I told them it was a two and a half JZ.
Pretty sure they’re just slapping their logo on these alibaba headers and up charging them. They have an option to buy them with your logo on them if you get a large enough qty. The pipe layout and manifold plate look exactly the same.
I found them on alibaba and that’s what led me to your post just trying to see if anyone had them.
Might go down this route and make my own exhaust with these to start with.
