Replaced the missing moisture barrier with some HDX 6 mil plastic sheeting and new butyl rope.

Since I had the window out to replace the regulator I replaced the window run with the flocked version off Amazon. Combined with the new regulator she's buttery smooth.

Very nice. I need to do the same for the windows.
Definitely a one banana job. Just time consuming cleaning. I cleaned the inside of the door too. Vac then steam clean, wipe down for a few cycles.

The hardest part was cleaning up the old butyl. It was cold outside which made it easier, the old butyl doesn't like to come off when warm. Just ball it up on it self, press and pull a lot.

The window run was super easy to put in. Took a few tries to trim the corner at the rear of the window frame but only took a few minutes.

Cleaned the door card too, steam wasn't cutting it so soaked it with Dawn dish soap then scrubbed with a baby sponge/brush, wet rag and wet vac extractor. It came out pretty darn clean given 39 years of grime had accumulated on it.

Will post up a pic when it dries.

Rebuilt the door speaker wire harnesses with some 16-gauge Rocketfish speaker wire and installed some Kicker CS Series 5 1/4" speakers with the Cruiser cult adapter brackets.
I used some #8 washers between the speaker and the supplied star washer from Cruiser Cult as the hole on the speaker tab was pretty large.

Nice touch! Much better than the $%^& that installed my speakers with sheet metal screws! I have the same speakers BTW.

Thanks. Just learning from the collective group. How do you like the speakers? I haven't fired them up yet. Have to be better than the old factory ones.

It would look great I think shifted back some if possible, I like the first gutter mount even with B pillar for my OCD
I wanted to but the way the brackets are, in order to make the rack as level as possible I actually moved the forward brackets towards the A-pillar.

I'll eventually get a proper 60 rack and move the brackets but this will suffice for the time being.

They sound great! I can't help but think I need a sub woofer under the rear seat, but what I got will have to do for a while.

Thanks for the feedback.

I got the 6 1/2's for the back, yet to install. Also have an old sub I thought about putting in the cargo area but like the idea of a small hidden one under the driver seat. Not a lot of room under the rear seat

Found some Easter eggs under the carpet, two yen coins.

One 10 Yen from 1986 and a pre-1989 5 Yen, also from 1986.
Mine was built in 12/86 so these check date wise. A worker likely dropped them while building or driving it off assembly line or onto the boat

That's a good idea. I just put them in a pouch in the glove box for now
