I'm the 3rd owner of this 40. Bought in Costa Rica and drove back to NY. Made it the whole way too. Paid 6k there. It's easy to say that it wasn't worth that much, but cars generally retain higher values there for a number of reasons, mostly because of import fees, but this is besides the point.

I know this is a bit of a stretch, but I'm looking for a 40 or 60 series LC for around 2000. As far as this goes, the body condition is more important than the mechanics, though if the truck is a good distance from Central Texas, I'd prefer it to be drivable.
Priorities: No cancer, dings located in one or two body panels.
Location: If I can drive it home, I will fly anywhere in North America. If not, I'm still interested, but would need to look into transport.
I just had my heart broken by a deal that fell through because of a bent frame. Have some pity on me, fellow cruiserheads! :D

My 1990 4 runner died on my daughter a few weeks back. I think the timing belt went and I don't want to deal with it. It also has a transmission slip issue that is likely a stuck valve or filter.
Until that time, was running great and is in good shape. Blue exterior, minor paint fading and a few small dings. Blue interior in clean complete shape.
Have a complete timing belt/water pump/seals/gaskets kit that will come with it. Also an extra PS pump and some other stuff.
She has to have a car that gets better MPG and I want to work on my FZJ80, not her 4 runner all the time so it can go cheap. 1100.00 OBO

Awesome 4x4!! 4 speed stick shift, 33" BFG All Terrains (90% tread), 3" Old Man Emu lift, new exhaust from motor all the way back, header, 2bbl weber carb conversion, all emissions crap removed, runs super strong, idles as smooth as watch and uses no oil. New clutch, excellent brakes. 4 wheel works perfect. Mechanically excellent. Drives great on the highway or the trail. 143,000 miles. Interior is all original and like new...seriously! Original radio still installed and works perfect. It's a Michigan truck and was well taken care of all of its life. Has been used for 4 wheeling the last couple years and has picked up some bumpd and scratches along the way. Has some rust, but not bad for a Michigan truck of its age...

My wife is due with our first child in May, and the 09 Tacoma and 85 toy p/u will be a bit too cramped for the new addition.I had it shipped from CO last year so the body is definitely not an east coast rust bucket. The frame is in excellent shape as well as the cab and the bed (see pics). It had some minor rust on the seams along the bed, but so does everyone eventually. I stripped it down to bare metal and only had to cut a tiny section about 3"x1/2" of rot on either side. The rest was surface rust.
