I have been looking and trying to find the "perfect truck". Turns out there a lot of things that could be perfect. What is most important to me is the condition and have to say I like the idea of a built truck. However great body and restored or new/replaced undercarriage, drivetrain is all important. I figure interior being done would be great, but something I could change quick and drive this summer if it isnt. I want something I can feel is reliable for long trips and is also got AC, etc. I like but dont have to have all of: V8 conversion, modern EFI ideally Lift and bigger tires/wheels, with stearing to handle it bumpers and winch Overland is overkill for what I need, but love the look so will consider those. The only project...

Colorado: 1985 FJ60 $4200
Hi, I am selling my 1985 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60. It has 223,000 miles and I bought it from the original owner. I have owned this cruiser a little under a year updating it mechanically. The two most notable upgrades include a new clutch and new exhaust along with all the fluids changed within the last 5,000 miles. Is this Cruiser perfect? No it is not. It still needs some work. Primarily body work with a few mechanical things as well. Mechanically it needs: A front axle rebuild Few miscellaneous belts and hoses Saggy stock suspension (PO replaced shocks but the leafs are saggy) Body wise it needs: Replacement patch panels for the rear (rusted out like they almost all do) Front left fender Rear lock cylinder Rear taillight...
1985 60, Optimistic CL ad, no affiliation
Saw this ad in Ithaca NY. The ad suggests that the value is between $18k - $26k and goes on to suggest that a restored FJ60 is worth up to $85k. So for your enjoyment: Rust FREE* From AZ* 1985 Toyota Land Cruiser *FJ60 "Let me start by saying that I find it a bit annoying when people post things on here without a price. That being said I am going to be "that guy" but only because its a special circumstance and its EXTREMELY rare to find an FJ60 completely rust free and original. Its a 1985 FJ60 Toyota Land Cruiser that spent its life in AZ until 2015 when I brought it to NY and it has been a garage queen ever since ( I only drive it on good weather weekends) . Its a 4 spd manual, 4X4, with manual locking hubs. EVERYTHING WORKS...

1985 Toyota Land Cruiser Converted to a Chevrolet 350 V8 +\- 190k on the body and roughly 20k on the engine. Odometer stopped at 178k. Pictures in link below Good: Motor and transmission are great New manga flow exhaust New front rotors and pads this Wed (7/26) All windows and doors in good shape. Recaro ortho classic front seats (worth roughly $3k on eBay if recovered) Needing attention: Rust - there is a decent amount of rust on the truck. Will need some body work. I'd say it's a 5/10. Fuel gauge doesn't operate Only 1 speaker works Tires have a some dry rot, but still driveable AC was not hooked up after V8 conversion Overall the truck is in Fair shape. A 5/10 is a good measure. It's not going to win any awards, but it's in...

New: Non-smog carburetor Wipers Shackle bushings Exhaust manifold collector gasket Front marker lights Master cylinder Water pump Thermostat Thermostat housing Fan clutch Radiator Starter Engine oil, transfer case oil, transmission oil, rear diff oil Problems: Different tires front & rear Occasional steering wobble at around 35mph but goes away with acceleration or deceleration Dented drivers front...

Looking for a daily driver FJ62-as close to original as possible in red. If anyone is thinking of selling or has any leads please let me know. I'm not completely ruling out other colors but really trying to hold out for a red one. There was one posted a few days ago that went in less than a day-that would be my ideal truck. Clean, mechanically sound. 10-12k is my range but would stretch for the right vehicle. Thank you!
1989 FJ62 (NW OK)
Hi. I am (sadly) selling my 1989 FJ62. I bought it about 4 months ago, but am in the Air Force and got orders soon after to a new assignment where I will be traveling a lot, and can't justify this as a 3rd vehicle right now... (kids, work, etc...) I am not 100% sure on the history. I bought it from a guy in KS who said he picked it up last summer (June 2016) from a guy in TX. After I bought it found this forum and was able to figure out the "guy" in TX was Brad at US Offroad. His link for that sale is below. Nothing wrong with it when I bought it, the KS owner only had it for about 7-8 months and was selling due to a family situation. I'm sad to sell it, but life happens. It is in excellent condition, basically exactly as it was when...
