No heavy off road - dirt roads at the most.
Head replaced at 214800, almost a new engine.
A/C replaced 6/20/16, blows cold air - need that in AZ.
Carb and Distributor rebuilt 6/20/16
Rear Brakes done 12/16/16
Power Steering gear box overhauled 12/16/16
Smog pump replaced 3/7/17
No major damage but some body panel dents.
The only thing needed is a new radiator.
Small oil leak at rear main seal.

-it was a plow truck since 2001
-its rusty on the underside
-front fenders rusty on the inside of the wheel arch
-rusty rear frame member cut away

1984 FJ60 with LT1 Swap - $6500
Up for sale is a 1984 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60. This is a great truck that has had a Chevrolet LT1 V8 swap completed approximately fifteen years ago. The donor engine is from a 1991 Pontiac Firebird. The truck retains it's stock Toyota 4-speed manual trans using an adapter bellhousing.
This one won't win trophies at the show, but the V8 runs well, 4WD hi and low work fine, and she'll make a good trail rig. Suspension is an older OME kit and the tires are BFG Mud Terrains in 33x12.5-R15's. No leaks or problems with the drivetrain, she will need new brakes in the not too distant future though and the clutch has high engagement, may need replacement at some point. Mileage...

I'm in the Northeast. Sold my babies back in 2009, 2005. Ready for another one. I really don't want to spend more than $6000-$6500, would like it to have not more than about 160,000 miles. Dark Blue, Silver, Gray, Brown, or Red. I also would like it to be complete and not have rotted pillars, frame rails, or rain gutters. Rust in other areas I can live with if not Swiss cheese. No holes drilled into the roof. I would buy from anywhere around the US, except HI or AK. Shipping would be $$$.

For Sale - Red 1988 FJ62 all original. As it currently sits 174,413 miles on the odometer (I will continue to use while for sale). In full disclosure, mileage is off a bit due to 31x10.5 tires being used since around the 100k mile mark.
I am the 2nd owner of this vehicle. I purchased from a friend in 1999, from the Northern VA area. At that time it was a daily driver and had 125k miles on the odometer. For the last 18 years, it camped out in my garage in Raleigh, NC and was driven as a 3rd vehicle but cared for better than my daily driver. This truck has not been on trails or been challenged as a 4x4.
While it is extremely clean and gets plenty of compliments while out, it is not perfect on the outside. I'm not an automotive...

The good -
Absolutely NO rust. It's a lifetime New Mexico rig and is dry as your grandpappy's scalp, as they say. Has no rust anywhere. The frame, the wheel wells, the tail gate, shock towers, etc. Cleanest 80 I've seen underneath. Pictures below bear this out.
No accidents that I can tell. Straight with very little dings even. There's a small scratch by the right rear tail light, but it's superficial.
Very new carpet throughout. Clean and tight.
Always maintained, 250k in miles, but major service with timing belt...

I've been searching forever for my first Land Cruiser and finally have $5000 cash freed up to actually pull the trigger on a purchase. That said, I know it's not a huge amount, but I don't need anything that's going to win a beauty pageant. This Cruiser would be a third vehicle for trails, occasional drives to work, and beach/camping/hiking trips. I have always loved working on vehicles despite rarely having the opportunity outside of friends' Jeeps, so I am absolutely excited and willing to learn to fix this LC for years to come.
(I creep the classifieds here, Craigslist, and Facebook marketplace like a madman, so I'm putting in my own effort, no worries!)

1987 FJ60 4-speed, 234k miles. New carb, new clutch, new tires (general Grabber AT2) less than 1k miles ago. VERY GOOD condition body and frame. Nearly rust free and I have seen several 60's in person and none of them look as good as mine on the frame and body (non-restored anyway). This one has nice paint, brush guard, I have a roof rack...but it's not on the Rig. Runs well, but does have an exhaust leak where the EGR port comes off the header near the rear of the engine. This rig comes with AN EXTRA 2F that was running but had head gasket issue as well as another 4 speed trans and split transfer case that was shifting as well. New shocks (some cheapies), new sway bar bushing and arms, new front steering links,

I am posting this landcruiser for my father who is looking to sell it to a good home.
To my knowledge, This FJ60 spent the first ~80,000 miles of its life in the Carolinas. My father purchased it in ~2005 and moved it to the Northwest New Jersey / North East PA area where it was only driven during the summer and garaged in the winter months. It now sits at ~112,000 miles
There is no rust on the cruiser beyond very light surface rust on some parts of the frame. There are no known mechanical issues and its been meticulously maintained.
Its the cleanest cruiser I have ever seen (other than the day our family bought a new FJ60 in 1987)

I have a brand new Snapon Box. I paid over $8,000 for it. It was unboxed and has sat in my garage ever since. I have two of these boxes and do not need then both! It's literally brand new. 1987 FJ62 with an Automatic Transmission. Went out over the weekend and now only have reserve gear. Either rebuild or do something else. Anyone with any information would be great. I have a lead on another FJ62 for $5K with a H55 swapped already but what are my choices since I have been looking and can't find anything. HELP! I miss my FJ! Now I have to drive my E34 M5 everyday and since it is a BMW it is just a matter of time before something happens to that one. LOL
