The truck had 146K~ miles on the clock when I got it. The original 6 cylinder was DOA, so ACC Garage in Atlanta performed the swap of an LS V8 and 4 speed automatic. The engine and trans are a drop-out (taken from another vehicle) LY6 6.0 liter Vortec V8 and matching 4L85e 4 speed trans from a 2008 GMC truck which had 61,000 miles on it. ACC garage retained as much factory OEM Toyota stuff as possible, custom fabricated a ton of stuff, powder-coated everything that was metal - including the OEM air intake. Installed a Lokar 4 speed shifter. They also did all the necessary maintenance - brakes, front/rear diff service, Birfield's rebullt, transfer case

Well the time has come to part with my beloved 62. I purchased it pre-pandemic and did extensive work including repaint, completely new interior including two-layer dynomat throughout. Hello all, I am selling my beloved 1988 Toyota Landcruiser fj62 with 215k miles. This truck is in very good cosmetic and mechanical condition and has many good upgrades! Most notably the recently installed H55 5 speed transmission, improving both mpg and performance. It also has a brand new interior complete with Carbeau seats, full sound deadening and carpet. I'm sad to say that I am selling my beloved 1989 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ62. I bought it from the original owner 14 years ago and it has been a reliable daily driver for me ever since. It's a very original specimen with minimal modifications or upgrades. The brush guard, roof rack and rear ladder steps were installed by the original owner. Mechanically, though, it's almost all OEM.

This is a true survivor, rust free/ no repaint/body work ever done. born and raised in south East North Carolina, this has been my daily driver for over a year.
The last year of FJ62 and a clean carfax with no accidents on this truck makes some great patina’d paint and body.
The rear quarter panels, roof gutter, tailgate have never had work done and are mint, absolutely 0 rust. there are no areas that have been repainted/bondo'd cut,welded ect.
The common 60/62 rust spots are as clean as it gets on this truck.

I may be in the market for a good and reliable FJ62. If all goes as planned, the Jan/Feb 2025 timeframe would be ideal. Location & mileage not as important as reliability. Not looking for a restoration because of price and not looking for a reliable rust bucket. Ideally a SW truck, as original as possible and less than 150,000 miles. LS or Vortec swap rigs would be considered as well as long as they have an automatic trans.

This is a 1987 Toyota Land Cruiser. It has 168k miles and runs and drives very well. it is not pretty. It has roof rust and body damage. It would be a very good candidate for a body swap. The frame is in good condition and was coated the majority of its life. The rear C-channel section has the typical rust, but is solid. The gas tank is clean.
