1988 FJ62 226k one of a kind w/fresh tranny rebuild
For sale is my 1988 FJ62. Consider this the baby on the way sale. I have only owned this truck for about 6 months with intentions of keeping it forever. But hey life changes and I guess airbags are important when kids are with you. This rig has 226xxx miles and running strong. Recent repairs include a complete transmission rebuild ($2500),new birfield joints and all new belts. I have also installed power seats out of a BMW. They do have heat but I have not hooked up the heat option yet. I also have the original seats if you would like them. As you can see it is a wild orange with additional decals. It is actually a professionally installed 3M vehicle wrap. It looks awesome and is definitely an eye catcher. People are constantly...

Hey all, Decided I don't want a new car, as in new off the lot, but I need something that can carry more than 2 passengers. My Tacoma and FJ40 are great, but not for many people as both are pretty much 2 seaters. "They" just don't make classics anymore. Having grown up with my families FJ62 and reminiscing now all the time, I think I'm ready for one of my own. Preferably one with no rust (ABSOLUTELY no gutter/roof rot at a minimum) in the dark gray or white color. Preferably gray. Low miles would be great but nothing above 250k. There have been a few nice ones for sale recently and I just didn't act fast enough, but now I will. Must pass CA smog as I'm in San Francisco. As long as this thread doesn't say something along the lines of...

This is mine. CL add here Probably a good candidate for your goals on a build. Have owned this a long time and am sad to sell it but another FJ60 presented itself to me and I am transitioning. Troll Hole works great, interior is mostly complete, body damage is really the only drawback other than the usual rust and a slight leak past the main seal. FJ40 rims are the only other non-stock element of the vehicle. Chris
Re powered and beautiful 1989 FJ62
I have owned my beautiful grey fj62 since 2003. I bought her in northern CA when I lived there. She's a great truck and I recently had the NH outfit, cruiserparts, do a ton of work on her instead of buying a new vehicle. I Replaced the engine with a new engine, 24k on the clock. Repainted a sun faded CA car. The list of restoration is long and I spent about 17k on getting her almost new. She is tastefully lifted, Thule rack, Kenwood double din and nav. She's beautiful and ready for a long life with the right buyer. I am leaving to live overseas and I must sell her or let her sit too long. $22,000 obo.
1985 FJ60 in Texas
This is an October of 85 truck originally out of Arizona. Old man emu lift. Front and rear end replacements. Front is an ARB style bumper and rear is a dual swing arm. Asking $7500 and pretty firm on that. No cancerous rust or rust at all. Small dent on the front fender. Could use a paint job and tires in the future. Only 172,000 miles. 4 speed manual. Has minor rear main leak but not significant. Wouldn't worry about it until clutch goes out which isn't anytime soon. Currently just used to drive around town and around the farm. I have never used it off-roading.
I am selling a Toyota Landcruiser BJ60 wagon. Runs all right. Most everything works. Body is reasonably solid and straight, minus the rear few feet of the rocker panels, tops of rear wheel arches and the rear quarter panels, which have previously been patched. Could be salvaged/restored, or used for parts . Has 550,000 km. New starter and recent clutch. Located halfway between Vancouver, BC, Canada, and Calgary, AB. Comes with extra tires, rims, hood, and other spares. Contact me directly for more details. Thank you. $2500 US.
1985 FJ60 San Diego
So I bought this Land Cruiser to have as a fun beach truck. After i bought it (in Davis, CA) I had it towed to Mudrak's Land Cruiser shop to get the car rebuilt and get her running great. While it was there, I came across a fun 75 FJ40 that I had to have. Can't keep them both. I just got this truck smogged this am (Oct 14), and it passed with flying colors. I just submitted the final paperwork to get the CLEAN title in my name. I have current registration on the truck now. Good till June! Title should be here this week. Truck has new tires as well. It does idle a bit rough, but runs like a sewing machine once you give it any amount of gas. Inside of the car is pretty dirty and beat up, as it was used on an Orchard for most of...

Asking $8,900.
85 FJ60 - Almost Completely Stock - 191k Miles - $11k
I’m selling my toy…reluctantly. If you are looking for a stock FJ60 this is your truck. If you are looking for a zombie apocalypse wagon or bug out vehicle this is exactly what you are looking for. Here are the reasons I love this truck. Carb and Stick. This has the original inline 6 cylinder with a carburetor and choke. It has the original 4 speed manual transmission. This is the last model to have both of these. After this it is electronic fuel injection (EFI) and an automatic transmission. The ease of maintenance on both of these is legendary. You can actually fit your hands under the hood and fix things. Analog and Metal. This is pre-digital, non-automatic and pre-plastic. You want the window down? You crank it down. You want the...
1985 FJ60 California. Norcal. I5
I did lots of "Freshening up" From what I remember, A few gaskets, Plug wire and cap, timing, some belts, a few hoses. Oil, plugs, antifreeze. Newer good shape BFG all terrain and 4 runner rims (Spaces in the front) Brand new commercial battery. I failed smog and I just cant work on 3 rigs at once so I need to sell one. Tracks down the road amazing. Second gear is 50/50 but does not pop out just hard to get in. Brakes works awesome, signals all that awesome. Air conditioning not working. No rust has the one dent on the tail gate. Passed smog visually and mechanical but failed bad on hydrocarbons. Could be cat and carb or smog pump. EGR valve passed smog! Does not "Stumble" Near redding 96001 I will ship. 4x4 works...
1989 FJ62 with 4spd swap
I've owned this FJ62 since 1998 and added the following since 1998: OME medium lift with rancho shocks, ARB front bumper with Warn M12000 winch and hella lights, Kaymar rear bumper, Mean Green alternator and starter, hella headlight wiring harness, and the best thing; swapping in a 1987 4spd manual transmission. Has 33x10.50 BFG ATs including full size spare. The linex coating was added to the bottom of the truck after I ripped off the mud flaps driving thru deep snow about 10 years ago. This is a great truck, and always has been. Still very dependable. This cruiser has almost 283,000 miles, and most likely will by next week, as I drive it often. I'm not really wanting to sell it, but my career definitely requires me to have a pickup...
1987 FJ 60 West Texas
1987 FJ60. 169,xxx miles. Four speed manual transmission 4x4. This vehicle includes a log of all maintenance performed since new. Most of the work performed at a dealership. I bought the vehicle to use as a daily driver but my needs have changed. Body is in excellent shape minus the pealing paint and some surface body rust on roof, zero frame/body cancer or rust. The body metal and bumpers are flawless not a single door ding anywhere, including front and rear bumpiers. The interior has some minor cracks on driver side door panels, flawless dash, 2 rips on drivers seat. I installed a header, powersteering pump (Saginaw conversion) rear lift supports, battery, valve cover gasket, 31-10.50 tires new carburetor and OME helper springs with...
1986 FJ60- Fresh motor, 5-speed, rust free, NM
I am selling my 1986 Toyota Landcruiser. It’s a great rig and has taken me countless places over the years, but I’m now in the market for a Mercedes Sprinter and it must go. It has been very well taken care of and serviced either by a Toyota dealer or Bill’s Toy Shop ( a Toyota Master Mechanic specializing in Landcruisers) It has 360K miles on the interior and paint, 5K on a complete motor overhaul using Toyota parts, and 10K on the Toyota 5-speed transmission. I am the second owner. It has been an Arizona car it’s entire life and my daily driver for the past 12 years. It is rust free (except for two small spots of surface rust…see pics). The vehicle was just serviced at Bills Toy Shop in Farmington, New Mexico. All fluids were...
