Wanted Looking for a 55

Offered up my 40 for trade last week.. no takers so figured I would try a different approach. Anyone out there selling or considering letting go of their 55? I have 2 small kids now so it's time to move on from my 40 and into something (slightly!) more kid friendly. With 2 small kids, the days of turning wrenches on the weekend are gone for the time being so I'm not looking for a project. Looking for a good driver condition rig (no rot, good paint, nice interior... more or less 'complete' in and out) that's ready to hop in and cruise around on the weekends. I could rattle off a bunch of wish list items but beggars can't be choosers. I would prefer a later model 55 but willing to consider anything as long as it's in good...

Family is growing and considering moving into something bigger. I've always like the 55's so I'm starting here. Mine: - 1973 FJ40, 1F 3 sp (original) in good running order; fires right up, goes, and stops like it should. 4wd/TC work as they should - Lights and gauges work except backup lights and brake warning indicator. - Solid body (no rust and pretty straight with the exception of a few dings here and there), decent farm implement gray enamel paint (I just had the doors repainted to match); interior with what looks like a DIY bedliner coating; dash is still the factory white color but looks OK with the grey exterior and black bedliner interior. - 31x10.50 AT's in good condition on 15x10 wagon wheels (painted and could...

1977 FJ55 Toyota Landcruiser. 2F engine, was rebuilt by previous owner I have the receipts. Rebuilt 4 speed trans mission by Marlin Cralwers, Orion tcase, less 1,000 miles on it. New 33" tires, roof rack, high lift jack, rear lock right locker, passes smog every time. Headliner is in great shape as are the seats. Entire interior has heat shield under the carpet and mats. It has rust in the typical fj55 spots it was this way when I bought it I have wheeled it for several years this way no problems. Nice stereo system. Rear windows are tinted dark. Looking for mostly complete or complete FJ55. I am after the 4spd and transfer case along with all associated parts and fine spline axles disc front and drum rear. Along with 1968 FJ55 that has a 1.5F motor, new Trollhole Carb, New coil, rotors, and parts for front disk brake swap (knuckles and such from 80's truck. Brake booster already mounted. Has rust and dents. WS has crack on passenger side; all other glass is good. Price is $1800 for all of it. I am not willing to part any of it out. You want 1 bolt and you get the rest with it... Yakima rack, rear window works, carpet kit, new headlinder in box ready to install, little rust here and there, alas, nothing huge. 2K miles on 4 Cooper Discoverer 31x10.5s. Runs great.
