I'm selling my 1974 fj55 Land Cruiser. Clear title. This is pretty much original. Original motor that was rebuilt has the original carburetor. Runs really good, no knocking or any problems with the motor or the 4 speed transmission or transfer case. The upgrades where done by Valley hybrid which is a shop that specializes in Land Cruisers. They upgraded to front disc brakes off of a newer Land Cruiser and rebuild the front end and locking hubs. They changed the gear ratio so it will cruise on the freeway, and put a locking differential in the back. They used new original Toyota parts. It has 5 brand new tires 33x10.5. Hi,
I'm in the Seattle area and am looking for an FJ55 to restore. I intend to do a frame-off restoration myself, and to get my kids involved. We homeschool so yeah we're weird like that. :) I'm looking for something around $5,000 depending on quality.
I looked at one nearby this week but the frame and under-body were in really bad shape even though the outside looked mostly ok. I could not come to an agreement on price.
So, any pointers or suggestions would be appreciated.

I was searching the Greenbay or Eau Claire Craigslist sites the other day, and I happened uopn an ad for an fj55. No pics, so I emailed to see if it was still available. It is, but I can't seem to find the craigslist add anymore (out of date?) The woman who emailed back sent these two pics...
and a subsequent email contained this message...
"Hi! yes, it's still for sale. We're about 15 miles south of florence Wi on a lake. Was supposed to be a restoration project for husband but he's disabled now and can't do it. If U want to talk more about it, his nursing home room phone # is (number deleted)."

I have been looking for a Pig for a long time. Unfortunately, I don't have the $$$ right now. This one looks great. Thought someone from Mud would jump on it. I tried to post link from craigslist, but it won't take. Anyway, if you are interested go to Boise Craigslist. It is a 74 FJ55 White and looks in GREAT shape for $5,500. 1976 FJ55, 2F motor, 4-speed transmission and front disc brakes. I first saw this FJ55 in 2012 in CA. I tried to buy it then but someone beat me to it. She spent some time in CO, Santa Fe, NM, CA, TX before she was sold to the current owner in PA.
These trucks were notorious for rust issues. They require vigilance to keep them as nice as this one...

I have a '73 55 that I cannot restore. Body is stripped and has had new quarters and rockers but still needs floor pans and body mounts. I have the metal from BobM. I have a full set of fiberglass front fenders. The frame had a SBC and there is still a turbo 350 transmission in it. Bucket front seats and a good rear bench. I have an F 3speed drivetrain. the engine block is cracked but the head was rebuilt, new weber carb, new trollhole electric dizzy, new water pump, new fuel pump, reground cam and lifters. I have put it on CL as well so the pictures are there. I am looking to sell whole and not part it out. Lots of good parts here or a good start on a resto! $1100

Here is your chance to own a 1976 toyota land cruiser Fj55. Has a small block chevy 350, with a fj60 4 speed transmission with t-case. Power Steering, front disk breaks alxes out of a fj60. Lifted 4.5" with brand new Nitto trail grapplers 35x12.50-17. Not alot of these out there will sell fast.
