I am not sure, but I do know that the key fobs for 2018-2019 are definitely different than 2016 and before. I posted a photo of a 2018/2019 key fob earlier. Having seen an earlier fob, I doubt it would fit, but maybe?

Does anyone know if the circuit board of the 2016 OEM fob will fit into the OEM2018 housing?

I thought the '18+ fobs have an additional button for the power liftgate?

Orange pics have been taken! Here's an "as is" version. Need some of my wife's photoshop fixing to get them all up and color-corrected so they are as true to life as possible, but this will do for now.

Note, the second set of photos is from my 3 year old cell phone. That's why the orange looks a little off. Real life color is much closer to the first picture.

Orange plastics are also now listed if you already have black, but want an extra set (or replacement set) of Orange.

One Hunter Orange ordered! Looks like you've really got this one dialed in.

Thanks for the effort.

Arrived today, took old fob apart, took the opportunity to install a new battery, put new fob together - it really was just that easy:

Everything about this fob works:

- Lighter than original
- All buttons recessed to avoid accidental activation
- Key is absolutely secured in the fob with the latch recessed to avoid accidental release
- Bright orange - always a plus

I don't know if it was absolutely necessary, but I assembled using a small amount of Blue Loctite on the assembly screws - a peace of mind decision.

Very nice touch to include two sets of screws (black and stainless), an extra nut (they are small), an allen wrench, a key ring and a nice parrot's beak snap attachment piece.

Great product - highly recommended. Very well done, @suprarx7nut !

Glad to hear it! This design definitely had a couple hidden "gotcha" findings upon release, but I think the Rev C design is really dialed in where it needs to be. I'm glad all the little design choices came through. That orange looks as vibrant as it can be. Hard to lose that!

Cheers, enjoy the weekend!

I was hoping the Easter bunny would bring me a fob for my 2016!

:)

Had one for my LX470, work of art. About to pick up a 2018 LC. Please consider me on the list for one when you get those going.

It's been a while since I posted my feedback on the initial rev and finally have been running the latest long enough to respond. Everything has been addressed successfully. Nice work @suprarx7nut - it's no small task getting something like this right!

Me too! I am waiting for the 2018 LC200 key fob to be ready. From what we have learned, the 2018/2019 key fobs are different from 2017 and below (which have different designs as well). I'd almost be willing to send him my spare key fob so he can design one! :)

The key fob for the 17 is works for tacoma’s too. The 18’s key fob looks much nicer the previous generation. If I had a 18 key fob I would not be in a hurry to switch.

I’m ready for the orange!

Edit: ordered!

I received my orange case today. The video assembly instructions are very good and it didn't take long to assemble. The case cutouts for the nuts are pretty tight (which is a good thing). When you put the nuts in place, press them in well. As shown in the video, I had to use the allen key to get them seated deep enough for the screws to thread. Once I did that, it went together as in the video.

I function tested the fob and it worked correctly. I'll need to use it for a while before giving a review, but first impressions are good.

@suprarx7nut - any chance of doing a run of cerakote grey cases?
