It's probably fine, but yeah... I wouldn't install that either. The consequences of "it's not fine" are pretty steep, not worth the risk.

I also always do a 5-tire rotation, for all the reasons stated here. BTW: Tire rotations are another time when the QuickJack is a huge time saver. Lowering the spare with that janky crank provided in the kit kinda sucks. So I made my own crank...

You'd have to start by having someone discharge and and remove all the refrigerant, then have it fully charged again once you put it back together. I'd start watching YouTube videos on paintless dent repair.

KLF replied to the thread Any QuickJack users?.
Not sure how I missed the earlier messages here, I just read them all. As said, the issue shown in the video above was entirely user error, not a fault of the QuickJack. Used and maintained properly, it won't do that, no way. Once the vehicle...

It's just Avery film/wrap. I bought a 2' x 5' piece, it just barely covered the windows. It was mostly an experiment to improve privacy, but I do like it so it's still on 5 years later. @Sandroad - Younger? I doubt that. I just applied for...

The DOME fuse also keeps the clock running (IIRC). There could be a leak in the voltage regulator of the alternator.

I'd say that's pretty darned good for those miles. I did own an '11 at one point, in that interior color, and it really did show the dirt and grime. Just an FYI.

. 2 amps (200 mA) is still higher than it should be, I would start pulling fuses until the drain goes away so you'll know at least what circuit it's on. Should only be about 20-30 mA, just for the clock and the engine ECU. GF's battery in her...

13+ doesn't have a switch to shut off the inverter, it's on all the time with the ignition.

The RapidAir stuff does look nice. But my "cheap bastard" conscience wants me to just run PEX, especially since I have all the tools.

Curious what your plans are for running air lines around the shop. Copper? PEX? Coated aluminum?

I think this is an LX vs LC thing? I had an '11 LC prior to my current '15 LC and the seats weren't perforated.

Now that I have it, it's a really nice thing to have. I use it quite a bit. Be aware that there is a timer circuit that runs it, you push a button on the dash to turn it on, but it does shut off after awhile, maybe 10-15 minutes. The ventilated...

It does indeed turn off when the engine is not running.

I live about 20 mins from the main headquarters for NHOU, so I just have them do it. Much better than FF, IMO. I'm done crawling under vehicles to spray and getting that crap all over me and my clothes. I always drop the spare and remove all the...

KLF replied to the thread Robot vacuum for dog hair cleanup.
We've had a couple of events now where the thing gets "lost" in the house. It just starts randomly wandering around looking for its base, bonking into furniture and walls. I get tired of hearing it so I have to pick it up and shove it back into...

I'm impressed they ate that much off the bill, but I guess it pays to be a frequent flyer. My truck has only been in one dealership in 7 years of ownership, and that was for the seatbelt recall. I'm sure they wouldn't have done the same for me.

So I thought I'd update this thread. I finally caved, did a bunch of research, and ended up with an iRobot j7 a few weeks ago. It was highly rated for dealing with pet hair, which is my biggest focus. My verdict: Meh. We have to run it pretty...

Exactly. I would not take those off, you might find a nasty stinky muddy mess inside your rear quarter some day.

You need to start pulling off interior panels and look for water intrusion. Start with the kick panels and door sill scuff plates.

Got both sides flat/parallel. Lost ~ .25 - 1.25 from thickness. This side is going to get a lot more sanding and then I might try walnut oil at suggestion of woodworking friend. Original plan was three legs but thinking now I might try to find an...

I was always very dubious of the things, and couldn't see the point. Like you, I saw a potential for a disaster if anything, even a stone off the front tire, popping the valve open, and then.... (shudder) When I was having my BudBuilt...

KLF reacted to bloc's post in the thread High Quality Engine Air Filter Alternative? with Like Like.
Factory filters, even a few hundred thousand miles worth of them, are far cheaper than an engine. Oiled gauze filters let more dust through, and the oil from them stands a chance of ruining your MAF sensor. AND they don’t make more power. Run away.
