Nice W200. Great work on the cruiser too. Got a date you’re aiming for - any trips with it?
I still have a long way to go on my limited time. Finish the frame. Fuel and brake lines have to get added. Tcase/trans needs to get pulled, rebuilt and added to the engine. Right now it’s just something to do during all this covid crap when I’m not working or feeding one of the many dependents I chose to take on.

You are a bad mf'n ass. I wish you lived closer. It'd be fun to hang out and work on these cruisers.
Thanks. I was bold too and graduated to welding w/o that leather jacket. Leather apron yes but I feel much more in control of the bead. My long distance mentor trained me well, @cruisermatt. Only one wild spark got past my hood and into my shirt. Burned me front and back. Amazing how those little buggers can roll.
And yes it would be cool to hang... zero cruiser people here plus w/ the whole planndemic and all. Matt was tempting me w/ a road trip to do frame swap w/ one of three good frames he has access to and his friends two post lift in FL just yesterday.

I must not be girl enough...
is what color exactly?

It is the only color named after booze...

I could do both of these everyday and I’d be content.

Well another day and a smidge further. Hardware will go on when the paint is dry.

I put this up today too. It’s been taking up too much room for a long time standing on end on the floor. I made use out of some old shock washers to for the 4” screws I used. And figured out how to prop it up so I didn’t need to call for any extra hands.

There I was moving at a snails pace and happy-ish w/ it and then the guy who loaned me the stand and picker contacts me Monday that he needs it, in a month. Well, it’s off the stand now. Rear freeze and cam plug installed. RMS, pilot bearing, bellhousing and flywheel (torque fully once in the truck). So whoever set me up to get my ass moving, thank you. 90 some odd degrees ain’t no picnic for wrenching.

I recall the transmission bolts to bellhousing being the worst fight getting my hands into the passenger side to loosen. And I still really want to pull the two and put them in w/ the engine in one fell swoop.
When I lower the trans/tcase combo will I need to jack the height of the body so they’ll clear the rocker?

I usually get by with raising one side of the vehicle and setting the frame rail on heavy jack stands. I don't think I've ever been successful without this (on a 60-Series at least).

Ok that’s what I figured. Thanks for verifying.

Here’s my freshly painted valve cover. I love it!
Paddled tonight and happened to spy a juvenile Bald Eagle.
