I’ll set it up on an old lawn mower body minus its engine. Will be perfect. ;)

So that has been done many times, BUT... you could begin to teach yourself basic welding by building a rolling cart for it. That's basically everyone's first project. 1.5 inch square stock, some harbor freight casters and good to go.

Lots of simple cart designs on you tube and the like.

you can go here: Operators Manuals | Lincoln Electric

and put in the model and download a pdf owners manual with good info on setting up. Looks like that clamp holding the spool on is for a missing wing nut and maybe plastic washer??

Here's mine, notice the wingnut holding the spool. cart < 50.00 at HF, Helmet < 50.00 at HF.

Yeah he said a washer went missing and when he said that I said I had read a thread that said that was an issue w/ the 100, that it fed poorly. He said ‘yep it did but now it’s perfect.’ So, I honestly am not gonna mess w/ it right off till I have a feel for it. And I have a friend whose a welder and thinks he has a hood for me too which will work w/ my glasses too which I have to wear or I’m blind.

Sounds like a plan. I’ll start looking for a diy. Thanks!

Pppfft. Settle down Toni, I need to make my own first. Unless you want to be the guinea pig? Fair exchange to that Knuckle Centering Tool. :)

Omg and she’s on 4 steelie rims and 31” tires. That last tire was such a wench to lift. Literally bathed in sweat. Made a fulcrum w/ wood to help lift it up and still lining up the studs fought me.
Ready to roll for tmrw so my rear roof can get done.
Still gotta make the caliper brake hardline for the driver side since I rounded out one nut.
Had to add an extra shim to the top as preload was measuring well over 14. Went from .020 to .030
And it measured around 8 w/o the wiper installed.
Oh yeah and I sheared a screw on the back of the knuckle. That blew and held me up for a few days. Ended up having a friend drill it out for me and I got it chiseled out the rest of the way. Tapped it good enough and a new screw fits now, snug enough to call it done.
Swapped the caliper I mistakenly put on the passenger side too. My son was thrilled to help assemble the pads, clips and then the lug nuts.
Still have TREs to do but at least she can be rolled out of his way. That time crunch was making me have nightmares!

Truck is now officially boob height.
Driver hub will get finished up this weekend. Locking clip is on.

I always use my feet to lift the wheels back on the hub. One on each side and rotate/guide with my hands.
Your legs and feet essentially become the fulcrum. A nice old pair of shoes is good too. You'd be surprised what you can lift with your feet. HA

Lotta work done! Looks real good.
I like that it seemed just last week you were having another snowstorm and now shorts!!! Spring comes quick there!

I want shiny stock wheels

I applaud all of your hard work, man or woman, doesn't matter;). I think you are going to miss those big tires off road. Let us know how she does.

X2

PITA to put the big tires on for a specific trip but do-able with a spare set of rims. Kind of like snow tires/summer tires.

The rims have too much backspacing. I’d have to run 1/2” spacers at minimum.
