Keeping my thread current with the recent Cross Country Expedition trip through SF. The day before the trip I drained over a pint of oil to get the level into the correct range. Strange as I know I followed the capacity guidelines. No white smoke going down steep hills in SF - granted they were much shorter than the 2 miler I went down.

You may want to check the gasket on your fuel pump. That’s a telltale sign of the diaphragm leaking fuel into your oil.
7.5 quarts is what it took to fill my 71 F.Pretty sure I read oil capacity was supposedly 8.5.
You need to be proactive. Say, "Your bezel is upside down (pause) I will give you $5,000." Then you can remove the question mark following Divorce Cruiser and move forward into your new life as a Land cruiser aficionado and collector![]()
