hah! i don't think J's planning on parting with the new ones....have a feeling I'll be going the used route on these. I know that Tor couldn't even find one of the part numbers at all...per CDan the other hasn't been available for a while.

Maybe Onur is feeling extra nice and will chime in with the part #'s. Won't hurt to try to find them. . .eh?

K - roger that and no worries. Your need is a necessity, mine is obviously OCD =) If J's willing to give them up, they're all yours, buddy. If you can get me the part numbers, I'll put some feelers out for both of us.

First online Toyota site i pasted it to said they were available for $8.67.

I look forward to seeing this motor at home in the frame rails. Amazing how just a never ending stream of parts can be such porn. Lord knows I am not a huge fan of the tractor motor but damn Onur, that thing is beautiful, very tasteful.

Just a few small parts updates:

1. Finally made the decision on my rear bumper/tire carrier. Looking forward to the end result when it gets here. I'll post up the company that fabricated it as well as pictures when I receive it. :)

2. My good friend Steve M. and his son are coming over tomorrow to help me put the engine/tranny/xfer case together and I am actually hoping we can drop it into the frame rails and I can then spend my time putting everything together for a future initial start up.

3. And some parts procurement pics (mandatory I guess now):

New sleeve for the speedo gear:

New Clutch Hose from the hard-line to the slave:

New bolts for the transmission insulator to the H55F:

And the small brake hose near the master (the large vacuum line is unfortunately discontinued):

Your killing me man, hahaha. More parts but where is the engine going to fire up? Just kidding take your time.

This 60 is gonna be worth a 100k. I'd be afraid to drive it.

Well, unfortunately, due to some issues, the engine did not go in the frame yesterday.

That said, we did get a lot accomplished. My good friend Steve M and his son just in from Tuscon came over to assist as did bmacc.

Got the tranny mated to the engine. This sucker is long--69".

Also, did some small things around in the engine bay:

New grommet for the water inlet and outlet, installed the water valve and installed the L hose:

You consider upgrading to an 80 series box or sticking original for that too?

Then we went to work on the rear bumper. A real rear bumper/tyre carrier has been ordered from a MUD fabricator. I only want the best for this and this fabricator seems to be the person for it. Looking forward to getting a final product.

The hitch receiver had been welded to the frame unfortunately. So a lot of grinding and cutting. Then the bumper bolts were rusted to the nuts so they had to be ground off too.

My goodness that engine/trams/Xfer looks good all together!

Take a good camera, get good pics, frame it.

Can't wait to see the rear bumper! Are you going to clean out the passage behind the wiper motor/access panels while its relatively easy to get to?

Dan

Engine looks so nice. You should just mount it somewhere in your house so that you can just stare at it all day long. Beautiful work.
