Front core support hood bumpers--the screw-in ones:

Fender liners (go inside the wheel wells and get clipped on, two per side):

Hardware for the front body mounts that are accessible when you remove the core support. Two mounts per side themselves have been ordered as well as the sleeve that goes through. The bottom nut ("lock nut") comes pre-coated from the supplier.

I disagree. If it wasn't meant to creep, it wouldn't. Go with the flow brother! If the cruiser asks you to clean up the frame rails: then clean up the frame rails.

The core support, front panel, the crossmember, and top support are all going to my body shop to have cleaned and sprayed new.

Denying the inevitable will only bring about inner tension and conflict. Read the signs: oodles of new parts, a partial dismantling, meticulous cleaning, and painting.

Frame-off.

It's gonna happen, best to just give in and go with it.

Just remember the 10 - 1 Rule (or is it the 20-1?), for every hour you spend taking something apart, it takes 10-20 hours to put it back together.

These ratios also work with Dollars spent - For every anticipated Dollar, you will spend $10-20!

Nice work, and as a suggestion, buy some shoe chains...they may help as you slide down the slippery slope to a very cool 60!!!!

I thought the mission was to purchase every Toyota OEM part still available for an FJ60. Now I may be putting my words into Onur's thread, but just say'in. However, regardless of the actual mission, the tech content here is terrific. Instead of looking in ToyoDIY or some parts manual, if I need the correct part number for something, regardless of how obscure it may be, I'm coming here first!

A few more lines to unhook.
A bunch of nut bolt combos to unbolt that you would love to buy new ones for anyway.
And there you have a nice frame to sweetin up.

Unfortunately a resto is not happening. Unlike east coast trucks, this one is a pristine west coast truck.

There is just no rust on this thing.

But I will continue buying parts like I was doing one mainly because all of these parts are disappearing at a very rapid rate.

Soon FJ60 parts will be gone.

Just saw an interesting interview with a Toyota annalist on CNBC. He was stating that Toyota is a great stock to buy now, and the reason has a tie to this thread.

The annalist said that Toyota was becoming more "Americanized" and similar to American car companies, which will bring a higher value to stock holders. They are doing this with "Efficiency and cost reductions". These include, reduced staffing at corporate operations, value engineering of products, and the one that affects us...lower inventory of spare parts!

I guess Toyota is becoming just another car company! Cheap cars, poor service and no spare parts...The world is going to s***!
