These are the 7 long bolts for the xfer. 4 come from the rear portion of the split case to the front; the other three come from the inside portion of the front portion of the case to the transmission.
Do they need to be replaced? Well, no. But having nice hardware is a part of this journey.

I thought I tried to get the long bolts for an H55 swap recently, and they were NLA?

I just needed bearings from Georg.
Not that I recall Jim.
I've always had these in stock. I carry two full sets of each bolt.
I'm guessing not too much got done yesterday lolPlan is to assemble into the H55F on Friday.

Well, there won't be any progress on this for awhile unfortunately. I bone-headed a part procurement last week and was not able to reassemble. My tranny and parts are sitting at ACC waiting for me to get back to it. Don't know when as I will be traveling for Toyota meetings this week and then surgery next week so I probably won't be able to get back to her till after the new year.
Bummer.

Aftermarket Aisin water pumps will have the TEQ ground off of the housing. That is an anathema to me and NOT acceptable.

Well, I haven't updated this in awhile and a lot of things have happened since.
I've been busy procuring more parts-- of course; I always end up seeing something and saying "well, let's see if that's available new from Toyota" The rabbit hole gets bigger and bigger with every step. That said, I am close to being done with parts procurement here pretty soon.

Since this last update I have also been lucky enough to visit the Toyota Parts Distribution Center in Jacksonville, FL. Great trip and a very informative of the entire logistics operation from the point of view of the PDC. Huge facility--three shifts: receiving, stocking, sending out. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Of course, I was walking around with part numbers bouncing out of my head- "Oh here is XXXXX-XXXXX" cool. Spotted OEM steel wheels in a quantity of 30. Mainly for me.

Then, ACC Toyota in Atlanta and I decided to have a conjoined holiday party at my house. Lots of pics, most not available for public consumption. It was a blast. Trollhole came in, Poser flew in for some fun, and Steve Springs from Southeast Overland came as well. Great crowd of ACC employees, Sam Stewart, my family and good clients.
We got to shoot some guns in my backyard before someone complained and we had to shut it down.

I knew I had to go into surgery soon, so I made a logistical decision: I asked ACC to mate my split case to my H55F mainly because I was really running out of time, and energy and had too much on my plate. So, ACC finished the mating of the split case to my H55F. Hope to pick it up in the next week or two. Truck start-up will unfortunately be delayed beyond my birthday which was my original date.

Last but not least, JimC was kind of enough to send down this cool re-purposed distributor that he chopped and machined down to work as a oil pump primer for my 2F when I get to that point here soon hopefully.
