Looks great! I picked up a set of 16" OEM LC wheels a while back with plans to powdercoat them and go with 285/75's, 295/75's, or 305/70's. Can't decide which. Leaning toward 295/75's. Got some 295/75 KO2's in my cart right now, but haven't pulled the trigger.

EDIT - Mine is slightly lifted though, not sure how much exactly. Something around 1.5" probably.

Guys, cant find good post..
my size now is 265/70/17 on factory rims. I have 2" Pedders lift. What reasonable size of AT tires can I insert to avoid problems? Thinking about max 33" as 90% what I'm driving is asphalt.
Also I'm thinking about spacers as wheels now are a bit "iside". Any recommendations?

-275/70/18 is the low mod-no mod size. -285/65/18 gets you a bit wider and is in the low mod no mod category
-295/70/18 may require some pinch weld adjust
-bora spacers at 1.25 will get you just about flush

Thank you,
Maybe I wasn't clear. I want to leave my stock rims 17"

Didn’t even know 17 was an oem option, my bad. 285/70/17 is A 32.5
295/70/17 is a. 33.5 but should fit with pinch weld smash

Anyone has 275/70/18 pics they can share? I'm considering to change to 16" from 18" for more side wall, currently have 285/65 on my 18's, not enough side wall and with 2" lift, makes the entire tire looks small and out of scale with the truck.

Do a search within this thread, you'll find many.
A 275/70 is less than an inch taller than what you've got and less than a half inch narrower. Not a huge difference.

Very popular tire size, a search will do you good. There is no lift, spacer, anything needed to run a 275/70r18 stock, just pop them on and go. That tire is a perfect fit which is a big part of the reason I've never put serious thought into changing sizes. But here is a photo of mine when I first put them on fully stock, no lift, no rubs, no issues. For real though, try searching or even reading through the 17 pages of this thread, you will find the answers you are looking for.

With steps, literally in the Discount Tire parking lot.

Few days later, no change other than steps removed.

Stealth Custom Series F5 - 16x8, +10mm
285/75 R16 BFGoodrich T/A KO2

Just the slightest bit of rubbing in the front at full lock. I need to adjust the AHC height in the front a bit.

I have been running 275/70/18s for the whole time I have had my truck, first Duratracs, now KO2s but would kind of like to go slightly bigger to a 34. Is it worth it to go with the 295/70/18 over the ones I have? If I do a pinch weld mod and heat and form the liner, would I need a spacer to clear without rubbing. Not making everything a freakin project if it doesn't have to be is what landed me at the 275/70s, what are people's experiences. OEM wheels, fyi

295 75 R18 would be almost a 36" tire, I'll assume you mean 70.

Mine on stock wheels did rub on the frame at full lock, before adding spacers. So yes, I'd say pinch weld and spacers at the minimum. It will also contact the washer bottle cover slightly at full compression

glad to be wrong on this too but I thought I remembered reading that there was a specific allure to the ko2 in the 295/70/18 because the end up sizing a smidge smaller in real life than other manufacturers/tire models in this size.

also, didn't the wheelers bump stops in the front help making sure the washer bottle didn't get smashed.

I would dearly love 36s on my Cruiser, but yes I did mean 295/70 (changed in the post). So I'd need to mod the washer bottle as well, I though that was just for 35s? Did you do 1.25 spacers? At some point doesn't that push them far out enough to rub something else like the fender edge or something?

I think it's the variability in tire actual sizes thta causes some of the confusion on this topic. I would somewhat get MTs fitting differently than ATs, but the brand to brand differences are frustrating. (I guess it's not dissimilar to differences in clothes and shoes, which is also annoying!)
