Interested to detailed pics when finished. Particularly front bars around dash to floor. I have a full cage in mine and curious where it came fromI started in on assembling a Family Cage kit by Metal Tech. This stage of my build sure beats the scraping old gewey undercoating stage. Still a ways to go on the cage but I am pleased to have the big stuff tacked up.
Thanks oldschool when he milled them he did not separate the two manifolds. So a equal a amount of metal was removed from both manifols.when I walked in his shop the first thing he said was O no not one of those things he said sometimes they are so warped they can't be saved .He has rebulit a fair share of landcruiser engines.Car dude, make sure your manifolds are spot faced. I hope your machinists did it for you when he had them. I had mine done this winter and had to go to three different machine shops before I found one that had a clue what I was talking about.
Spot facing the bolt holes allows for equal thickness of the cast steel exhaust and the aluminum intake from the resurfaced deck that mounts against the head. When this extra step of machining takes places it allows for equal clamping pressure of the bolt head to the steel/aluminum against the head.
I would not got through the hassle of reassembly without having had this done to my manifolds. No matter how good the gasket is, it's not going to seal for the long term.
Uncovered the motor to show it to a fellow cruiser enthusiast.."what's under the tarp" ??

Beauty like your engine simply doesn't deserve to be covered... Have you considered a showing? Maybe a gallery in Green River first... And then...
