Lots of help from friends and a lot of work but worth every bit to take a rust bucket with upside down bezel to where it is now

Finally did something to try and get it running. Idles like crap. Lots of vacuum hoses cut and missing. Might be time to desmog next. Thanks Waterboy for your help. See anything wrong with this photo lol.

Installed a oil pressure and temperature gauges. Put dash cluster back together after painting the needles.

Installed new oem rear brake and front turn signal lens assemblies incuding new rubber gaskets on all. Swapped the front parking and rear back up bulbs with high output led units.

Removed the seats, seat brackets, seat belts, rusted fuel tank, fuel filter & old fuel lines. Reinstalled a new fuel filter, the fuel lines, some additional flooring insulation, as well as repainting the original seat brackets.

Now, just waiting for the new OEM tank and sending unit to arrived so I can paint and install. Then installation of the original seat brackets, followed by the new Procar seat brackets, seat belts and finally the installation of my new Procar Rally Seats.

With the roof off and suspended to the ceiling, I scuffed and sanded the underside of the roof section - unfortunate that the PO did not pay attention to this detail....

Removed the wiring for the aftermarket Hella lights... and received the (new to me) hood support and prepped it for powder coating..

Started a to get into the roof section.
A po glued some padding and a homemade headliner and what I think is wallpaper as well. As rusty as everything else has been the roof is in ok to good shape with a good rain gutter except a few spots. Going to be a pita to clean off glue and cushion material but something to work with.

Welded in the new rear frame sections, and got some great inspiration from this thread for the bodywork ahead, thanks @jstncse ! Love that rear sill - is it 2x2?

It's 2x3 tubing, original is about 2.25" tall so this is just a bit shorter but wider

I used 1/8" because that's what I had. I am welding in nuts for anything that needs to attach to it, if I had used 1/4" wall I would just drill and tap.
