Redid the front bib: Remove, strip, electrolysis, beat the hell out of it to get all the rust out of between the sheet metal, wire wheel, por15, fix holes, prime, paint (with the Ace color match w00t!).

POR-15ed the first bit of the frame, bent the bumper straight, reinstalled all that with SS hardware.

I guess I'm starting at the front and working my way back, but not doing a frame off.

Lets see, removed the stinger/radiator hoop, and the winch..

Painted my replacement windshield, and the stinger/hoop..

This morning took it to my mechanic to pull the engine for some work...

Pulled the carb and rebuilt it. Before I had to pull out the choke to start it and you had to gently push the gas to get the RPM's up. Has not been driven in 7 or more years. Now it starts right up with no choke and you can rev the engine up, no bogging or hesitation. Hope to take it for the first test spin around the block tomorrow.

Finaly got my jack mount to work. I read in other post to "flip" the base, now it fits perfect and does not interfere with the door. Made the bracket out of spare stock and had the bolts and wing nuts. Cheapest mod in a long time.

Built an aluminum cover for my ARB compressor, built a cardboard mock-up of my center console to take to my sheetmetal guy and built a cool little bracket for my ARB switches, with a separate "safety" switch.

Decided that I couldn't live with Jeep tail lights on my cruiser anymore so I ordered some oem tail lights and a backup light. Had to get out the jigsaw to make them fit. Way better!

put a j##p bumper on (took massive roo-bar off) - friend makes them. was a blemished bumper he wouldn't sell.

Let the flaming commence. If I've upset the cruiser gods i'll sacrifice a virgin or burn a jeep effigy to appease them.

A 40, an M1, and your son.....how perfect

Longhunter.....you have to pay extra for the "Ivans" in the trailer.....great find!

I put a gear reduction (60 series) starter in my 40 and ran around the neighborhood for the first time in almost 2 months when mine died.....easy install (2 bolts, 2 wires and you are rollin)

What are Ivans??? :meh:

The shilouette targets in your trailer were called "Ivans" when they first came out bc it was during the Cold War. Army Brass decided men would pull the trigger easier if they were accustomed to the shape of a man and not a paper target.

The cold war is over, they are hadjis now.

I know.....im in that hunt
