Got my Cruiser painted. A fellow muder, melloj123 painted it for me and did a beautiful job, even better then I expected. Now I have to get new emblems and a few other things.

WOW that is beautiful, I remember mine looking like that when I bought her new in 1978.....I wish it did now......one day though.

Looks great. I was mounting my hi lift like that, but it interferes with the door bottom am I doing something wrong or do I have an odd jack?

Mine did too, you have to modify the base plate a little to allow the jack mechanism to slide down another 1/2 inch. My jack is probably 35 years old.

Pulled the Tranny & T-Case, Seats

I pulled my 3 speed transmission and transfer case to install another set. Tranny was noisey but replacement t-case was excellent. Now in the process of rebuilding my old tranny. Installed a set of Honda front seats.

Ordered a set of 33x10.50x15 BFG ATs at Costco. Best price in town.

Ignored both of them.......:meh:

Mine too. I just flipped the jack so the handle is toward the back. Kick vents open with no problem. But then again mine is homemade.

Hey I'm new to this forum. But here's my 1966 fj40 with a 327 small block, 3 on the floor.

Welcome to Mud, from one Oregonian to another.

That background looks like Southern Oregon, maybe around Roseburg.

Don

1. installed my clocked transfer case
2. mocked up a 700R4 pan to see if my clocking will work. (gonna make it or miss by fractions of an inch)
3. mocked up my astro power steering
4. found out my drive train was mounted to far forward. mother #$%@, @#$% , @#$ wipe. Did it a couple years ago and for the life of me can't figure out if there was flawed logic to the location or if we were drinking. I'm going with the latter (That way I don't feel so stupid). The welder involved swears he just did what I told him and that he had nothing to do with the decision.

Broke it. Went for a cruise with the missus, pulled up at some road works and then went to take off and there was no action. Tail shaft appeared to be spinning, but no action at the wheels. I engaged H4 thinking I could get it home, but the same again. Not sure what the go is.

Broke mine really bad I think. We went four wheeling and on "Hairpin" in harlan ky (youtube it) I beat the rig up pretty bad. Now I have a drivetrain whine and the tub appears to be sitting on the frame crooked. I think some body mounts broke or the frame broke. Tonight I unbolted the top and tried but failed to get my buddies to come over and help take the top off. After that I plan on taking the tub off and I am pretty sure this is gonna end up being the start of a body-off resto write up in the next year or two.
