Another 74 FJ40 frame off

It all started last November, the 11 th to be exact.

A lot of grease and dirt to say the least.
And a shot of Brendon's "garage", that's a '51 Chevy in the back.

Some of the rust removal.
Most of the rust was removed prior to the frame off--mainly the rear sill.
The heater was taken apart, cleaned, powder coated and put back together with Shane's rebuild kit. The blower was taken apart and cleaned as well then rattle canned.

Seam sealer, thick and sloppy! Keep that rust at bay! HA!
Now for the bedliner to cover all the sins. Bought this stuff off E-Bay called U-Pol Raptor. Pretty cheap and it covers 125 sq. ft. with a gallon. About $100 including the gun. It's not very thick, but it has a good texture ( bumpy but not rough- does that make sense?).

All done. Did the fenders too. Probably should've done the under side of the running boards and tranny hump. Oh well.

It's been awhile, my silverstar expired among other things, but here's an update.
June 2, started painting the firewall and the dash.

Lookin' good Paul. If you have any parts left over after you're all done let me know. Seems my absentmindedness is striking with increasing frequency.

Great looking! Really like that color, too. A Land Rover color, huh? Pretty freakin' sweet......can't wait till I have a garage to do that kind of work on my baby. Good luck
