Uh, finished my propane conversion, removed my 1 inch body lift, assembled and installed my Allied beadlocks and 3 inch Iroks, realigned the front end, built my Metal tech fenders etc etc etc.

Is still need to get an odyssey battery, 30 spline longs to replace the OG longs, 6 stud steering arms for the knuckles, a new stereo and tie my cage to the frame.

It's a great feeling when every one of your exterior lights work :) Been a while since that happened!

Made a cold air intake from exhaust tubing

My 70 did not come with the stock air cleaner, so I make one with 3" exhaust tubing. Seems to work great. I included a pic of that.

Other milestones this week:

Thanks to Coolerman's amazing site I finally dialed in my brakes (always bench bleed your master brake cylinder! dammit!)

Send original carb off to Mark's Off Road for much needed TLC - cannot wait to get it back.

I am turn signals and license plates away from having this rig on the road for the first time in 15 years. (5 years of that was my fault..........)

You might want to put a flexible part in that intake to cover engine movement.

Well got my charging issues fixed. Started putting the roll cage in. Hopefully in a week I'll be out on a trail.

Replaced the entire exhaust system on one of the fj62s while laying on the concrete for most of the day. I never want to do that again! MIke

Put the ol girl back together! No more topless trips to the market:frown: Went for a shakedown cruise to palm springs to visit my parents for the weekend. Hot as out here, on the plus side my new weatherstripping, durabak'ed interior, and sound proofing stuff on the top made for a rattle free ride!

Must get ac working!

worked on converting to a cable linkage for my om617 conversion...here's what I came up with:

used one of the original mercedes cruise-control brackets :)

will be adding a stop to the skinny peddle to limit the throw...but seems to operate nicely.
