Just make sure you ration it... I had to fix some problems with a car that was assembled with too many wobbly pops. Biggest problem were the upside down thermostat, and cracked subframe (due to a missed bolt).

Looks good.

Bought next winters project 78 FJ40...my 73 is still at the body shop!!!

Well, I put on a new water pump this week. New belts. New hoses, clamps, etc. Got it all back together and realize I forgot to put in the t-stat. Ok, no problem i'll just take the housing back apart and install. So I did that, then the gasket tore apart. Great, so i'll just use form-a-gasket on it. Nope it sprung a leak right as the t-stat opened. Not only that, the upper radiator hose was spewing from between the hose and the t-stat housing! Got coolant on my brand new belt, and all over the alternator. The alternator started to spark; does it get any worse? I am so pissed right now and I just need to vent.:mad::mad: I wish there was a vent forum! So any words of comfort would be wonderful. And that is what I did with my cruiser this week...

Damn...that looks good!

I am even happier with it today.....it's like freakin concrete once dried.....I don't think I will have to worry about the tub for a while!

So can you paint over this stuff?

topcoat should be applied between 24 to 48 hours after the final coat of Rust Bullet. It is necessary to allow enough time for the curing or gassing off process to complete. The application of a top coat before this process is complete, may result in dimpling of the surface and an undesirable finish. If more than 72 hours have lapsed, the Rust Bullet coating should be etched with Rust Bullet Metal Blast (simply spray it on, wait 15-30 minutes, either hose it off or wipe it off with warm water and a shop towel, and let dry completely), or lightly sanded with 100-150 grit sandpaper, before applying the topcoat, to ensure proper adhesion. This 72 hour period is decreased in areas with higher humidity levels.

X2....I can see some TINY little holes where the RB is forcing gases and water vapor through itself...I plan to leave it about a week to fully settle, then sand it and put a coat of primer and 2 coats of Rattle can to match my outside......ill post pics after.

HOZ...if you are considering RB go to the site posted above by longhunter.....its amazing stuff.....prep is 1/10 what POR 15 is...I think if you are still doing Red on your exterior that the RB or RB with something over it would look awesome.

John, My 73 is at the bodyshop so too late for that one. But the 78 I just bought I am going to try it on that rig. Thanks for the info and pics.

Took it out for a quick spin on the ice. We have about 2 inches of ice covering DFW right now, and its 17F outside.

I took it to the high school parking lot to play around. I wasn't the first one who had been doing donuts in the parking lot....:D

I wanted to see how it behaved in 4H, 4L, 4H rear locked, 4L rear and front locked.

Pretty interesting stuff.

I took the front end sheet metal off, removed the stock steering stuff and shock towers, mocked up the 4x4 Labs Frombe Hi-Steer set-up w/ the Scout box and stripped the engine of the accessories in prep for for a serpentine belt conversion.
