Thanks, I've been driving it for almost 16 years and still get "giddy" everytime I drive it. These things really do get in your blood.

I know the feeling, 19 years and counting...

I changed my insurance today so my 17 year old son could learn to drive it... we may infect another driver.

I'm so jealous of you guys....Both of your Cruisers are really nice!

I love driving mine also. Its only been about 4 or 5 years now but love everyday of it. I know my other cars hate it cause they never get drove. We went four wheeling over the weekend and once again my 40 didn't let me down and had to help a jeep get home. lol

Hey, I've seen pictures of your truck, and it looks nicer than mine. Mine is mostly trail truck. From 20 feet it looks pretty good. (mostly so the neighbors don't complain):hillbilly:

finished my tube fenders, mounted my fuel cell, finished the last bit on my half doors, re-cut my rear wheel wells, started on fixing my tranny tunnel.

took the fiberglass section of the hardtop off to grind and treat some rusty areas in the seams.
pblasted every bolt in the front bumper in prep for removal, but i somehow think i'm going to be using an air chizel.
noticed that i need to service my knuckles because they're leaking.
decided that i should replace the inside headliner since the top of off. Think i'll use carpet.

Painted and raptor

FINALLY, I feel that I did enough to be able to post on this thread again.

I painted and raptor lined the tub and various parts this week.

I used a cheap double sized blanket to line mine. It had some stretch so it went in without any seams. I think it looks decent enough for $7 and some spray glue.

If I ever do another one I will use a nicer one (didn't want to spend extra money when I wasn't sure if it would work).

That's exactly what I wanted to do. What was the spray glue you used? 3M?

I used "Lepage Pres-tite Blue - Heavy Duty Spray Adhesive" because I had it lying around. It seemed to work ok.

I'd recommend "3M - super 77". I've used Super 77 a lot at work and have always been very happy with the results.

The blanket is very light so I'm sure most spray glues would work.

I'll second the Super 77, I've used it for numerous sub enclosures, a "soft" tonneau cover, and a few headliners. Works great!

Just got the tub back from being blasted...primed the tub with Chromasurfacer primer. Sitting n drying.
