Checked the oil, checked the brake fluid level, check the clutch fluid level , checked the power steering fluid level checked the radiator coolant and last but not least the intercooler coolant. All good. Oh and

Wiped the smile of some poor rice burner :grinpimp:

changed the lpg setup wasnt happy with gas research so went back to the trusty impco setup no more running lean now

also ditched the intercooler thinking it was causing the over heating issues but now i recon it was just the running lean that was causing it

swapped out the rear center had alot of play remove d it to ajust it only to find the center was cracked GRRR

and fitted the road tyres i cant handle the mudzillers after driving a nice comfy silent car for the past 6 months

and like matt said

"Wiped the smile of some poor rice burner" tho around here its commodore driving bogans rather than rice burners

Decided to pull off my 8274 winch and rebuild and clean up a bit. Also it would power out and in, but not freespool so needed some attention. This is my first real try at being a mechanic other than brakes and minor stuff, thought I'd try something that I could f up but still be able to drive my rig to work and back . They weren't kidding when they said the brake was hard to pull off! Managed it with only broken brake liners and about an hour of swearing. So now to find replacement liners.....

Got the registration caught up and the exhaust done. That's pretty much it for this year I think. Agree with some folks on the SM465, the jump from 3rd to 4th is a tough one. Only getting 40-50mph top speed right now, so something's still not right, gotta' figure that out.

Kootenay - no idea to be honest mate, I've only had the Monte Carlos' on for about 2 miles ;-).

My thought was that the pads weren't true, and that with some use they would wear down to be even. That pic is of the d-side disc, the p-side is wearing much more evenly.

Have you been running yours for a while, and still have uneven wear patterns?

Mine were on the vehicle when I bought it in Dec '06. I have only put a few thousand km on it (guessing about 4 - 5000, odometer doesn't work) and I don't know what the PO put on it.

Continued working on a bimini top that I would be happy with.......
And could be the foundation for a full top.......

Here you go Mudmaster, Deja Vu, I did all this already eariler this week I think. Oh well. Finally got them all welded and attached. Real happy  with how they turned out. Just a llittle paint and they will be ready to rub up on some trees. I have more pics on my profile if you want to check em out.

Lookin' good

Replaced old arc-shaped tie rod, installed winch & bumper, rebuilt center arm, OME stablizer, cleaned and primed a few spots on the back of the tub.

I fabricated the last two body mounts, for the floor under the front seats, installed them, & welded them to the rockers I built a few weeks ago. I welded in the last supports for the floor, & cut the steel for my floor pans. Tomorrow after work I hope to get the floor pans welded in and a coat of primer on.
Now, with the front body panels cleaned up and ready for paint, and the front floors, 4 body mounts & cross member now re-placed, I have only to clean up the rear floor and fender wells & get them ready for paint, then re-skin the rear quarters, re-install the heater, seats, gas tank, etc., and she is done.
Can't wait to get her rolling again. I haven't driven her in about 5 years. I only hope that I get to go wheelin' before the snow fits.

Bought ES master body mount kit, ez wiring harness and t case shifter kit over the last week. I will pick up my aux. tank fill opening tomorrow morning after shift and sand, sand and more sand.

Picked up the rear bench seats and love the powder coat color I chose. It is a charcoal metallic. Could not have had a better finish.

Pulled my doors off finally! Looks cooler when the top's not on:cool:

:princess: Doesn't seem to like it, too windy and too scary.

Can I win this argument?? :meh: Only time will tell.. Until then I'll keep being too busy to put them back on ;)
