The sign I saw was on Gold Hill on our way to Switzerland Trail, wooden, painted red with black letters, nailed to a tree...The 55 has been in the Nederland area maybe 35 years and the sign has been in it over 13 years. The Tourists love it and he get's his picture with someone when I'm in town getting gas or coffee.

That's cool. Great minds think alike apparently! We live couple miles from where the Switz dumps out onto Peak to Peak. I've rescued a number of winter wheelers off that trail over the years. The sign I saw was on Gold Hill on our way to Switzerland Trail, wooden, painted red with black letters, nailed to a tree...

As for sign, I made it maybe 14 years again as we were closing off the bottom of our property due to illegal camping and dumping. I was hanging no trespass signs, private property signs, surveillance camera signs and then made the private sign one for fun and left it in the Plow Pig 55 for years until I finally stuck it in the window. The 55 is still clears the fire road to the bottom of our property, with his sign......

Driving home the other day I glanced down at the gauges and saw...
...THAT I HAD ZERO OIL PRESSURE!!!
I pulled over immediately. This happened once before after I had the engine out and didn't get the connector to the sending unit back on correctly. I hoped it was the same thing after changing out all the hoses. It wasn't. This time the connector broke off completely.

Ten minutes and a new brass connector was crimped on. I use this tool but there may be better options available. I like it because it's a no-frills option. Packard Electric 086285847.
O
I had the same scenario happen a couple of times as well. I added this “boot” and a new connector. Seems like there’s enough pressure on the terminal now to keep the connector in place. YMMV
I think @ToyotaMatt @ vintageteqparts.com sells those, right? I'll have to pick one up.
I mounted a lighted direct read oil pressure gauge on the steering column. I used fuel line from the back of the gauge to the engine side of the fire wall as secondary containment so if the plastic oil line broke at the gauge I wouldn't get a face full of hot oil. I carry the correct pipe plug for blocking off the fitting at the block in the ashtray. Did have a spare freeze plug in there too but I needed it when the block heater retainer bar failed. I need to get another one of those as a spare.
Rogga..!!!
This is how I did it. McMaster-Carr has the BSPT fittings and the NPT bushing adapter, too. An occasional glance at the gauge does it for me.I've been think about doing that. I've got the tee for the sender but that's it so farYeah, I'm slow.
What does that mean you millenial?
Right On Good Guess A$$h*le?![]()
DAMN SKIPPY!!!! Bill Murray from CaddyShack wants his proprietary blend back!!!!Painted my bezel, but couldn't bring myself to put it back on the bib without painting that too.. not sure where this will end yet.
In the past I've been disparaging about the US spec dash pads... but having now seen one alternative, I now realise that they're not so bad...

Eventually vibration will crack that fitting with the tee and associated weight hanging from it, been there done that…just FYI.This is how I did it. McMaster-Carr has the BSPT fittings and the NPT bushing adapter, too. An occasional glance at the gauge does it for me.
