Finally had time to install a NOS carburetor and Matt's beautiful polished Valve Cover on the FJ43

Rebuilt and refurbished the carb PJohnson gave me. It was a project!

I’m almost ready to swap out the Weber and get back to OEM.

The secondary main jet was badly mangled and it’s size stamp wasn’t legible. I have a couple extra jets from a knock off carb with no markings too. My best guess is that I am about 130 in the main and about 180 secondary. Slow jets are 55 and 70.

Local elevation is 3500’
76 2F HEI headers

I hope that jetting works.

(After taking the pics I noticed that linkage rod that is backwards. Fixed it.)

Finally got the set of door stoppers installed. Used the SOR hinge kit to make them work as good as new!

Painted the new oem wheels I picked up a while back. I hit them with a few coats of Rustoleum Smoke Grey and a couple coats of clear, and they'll get 31" KO2s later this week. Definitely not perfect (I thought they'd have a little more shine to them, but I always cut corners on prep), but they'll look much better than the black alloys I have on them now. I was going to powder coat them, but at ~$90/wheel, I'll live with the diy option, plus, these will be easier to touch up (I'm just freshening up my 78 anyway). Still on the fence about hub caps, but I'll probably add them down the road to finish the stock-ish look.

Love that color

Well, I did it. I got hitched and also completed the cruiser in time. Here is proof. Super stoked to see where my new life takes me. I have an amazing wife... that's still weird to say. And an awesome Land Cruiser. Time for some most excellent adventures!

Fantastic picture. Never weird to say. That’s wealth. Purpose, health, and loved ones. Rest can be replaced.

Installed new Denso alternator, Toyota belt and Denso voltage regulator. (Thank you Toyota Matt) Also installed brackets for Toyota bottle jack and tool bag in box under the driver's seat. Installed jack handles & brackets on passenger fender well. Finally, installed OEM fog lights, brackets and switch. (Lights from https://parts.vescovotoyota.com/p/LAMP-ASSEMBLY---FOG/69347514/8121060010.html; brackets from Ebay; switch from Toyota Matt and wiring harness from Coolerman)
