Bought another transmission to rebuild and replace the one that has given me so much grief. Sometimes you just got to replace...

1) got the Scout II P/S box hooked up to a pump and working. I’ve got a lot more to do before the conversion is finished, but I can now turn the wheel with the palm of my hand. It should be even better once the noisy pump is replaced with a new one.

2) TJ seat to replace my beat up old bench seat.

Don’t have these brackets yet… may fab some.

I prefer the 2003 fold and tumble seat over YJ and other seats with a big cutout in the back.

Completed the install of mini cooper seats in the 67 FJ40. For the install, I kept the seat frames and bolted metal plate on top of the frame. Then bolted seats to the metal plate (0.25" Carbon Steel Plate). Did invest in a drill press to make the holes :), Didn't use rails as I wanted to keep the seats as low as possible. Special thanks to 40LandCruising for providing me the info on the seats. Passenger seat does sit a little higher, but not too bad. Seats are very comfortable.

What a coincidence, at the end of last week I picked up hardware to fabricate a similar tensioner for my P/S pump. I’m missing the anchor point for the tensioner, so I’m adding an adjuster also at the same time. It’s in a hard to reach spot beneath the air compressor pump so adjusting it would otherwise be a major PITA.

im Scared of non -oem parts in a vintage land cruiser .......... 🤔
I lost count at 36+ vehicles which have contributed parts to my rig. And the list keeps getting longer. After the power steering is finished, new Ford shock towers are installed, front diff swapped to 3.70, front axle rebuilt, rear brake pads & discs replaced, and ‘03 TJ fold & tumble seat is installed.

I’ve got a MAF ‘87 350 TPI to install. It came with the ECU, painless harness, speed sensor, etc. I’ve since accumulated almost two more setups of spare parts.

Got ahold of an original window crank mechanism from a very early rig.

So I transferred it into cad and will be working towards re-creating it. It’s mostly made of stamped steel, but I’m thinking of replicating some components via machining.
Been so busy with the Bluetooth project I needed to get this done as I have a limited timeframe before sending it back.
