Also discovered today that I took a pretty serious hit to the front differential. Anyone have any cleaver recommendations for protecting the front face of the dif and the drain plug? I know there are purpose built “masks” for some other cruiser axles but I’m not sure I’ve seen anything purpose built for a 40.

I definitely like it, though I think I’d need to find a way to build it up around the drain plug a bit. The face plate is perfect.
I’d probably have to find a welder I trust more than myself to burn it into place - I’d probably find a way to potato chip the whole axle housing.
So...... as we age, we ‘dribble’ a little - no biggie!
